I wouldn't either. He's a straight up possession receiver who just happens to be really good at it. If I were going to do that trade it would be Freeney for Welker. If they wanted more than Freeney I'd give them a fringe player that fills a need. But definitely not a 3rd.

I wouldn't trade welker guy is automatic every game

Tension between Welker and Pats though. I should say though that I don't believe the rumor at all, just saying that it's out there.
