Re: Official Redskins Free Agency Thread 2013 Part II

I don't fault Davis for trying to get a long term deal with guaranteed money. He has potential and any player is going to try to shop around to see if there is a better deal out there. He'd be stupid not to do this, especially since the Redskins are cash-strapped. Given the nature of football, very few players have the luxury to stay with a team for less money or give up the opportunity to get a better deal elsewhere.

Only thing in worried about is people keep talking about how much money we will have next year. While I would prefer we get a couple guys. I love that I didn't hear much day 1. Even if we have tons of cap space, which with a flat cap is debatable, I don't want to fall into the buy everybody mentality.

Buying everybody is only bad if you overspend for over-the-hill guys. If youre buying pierre garcon and london fletcher types, you should get as many of those guys as you can.

Freddie clearly isn't the sharpest tack. He can ball though, that's all I really care about.

His insurance premiums must be ridiculous.

That's why he's holding out for more money, The Geiko Gecko said he didn't pass the eyeball test, State Farm discount undouble-checked him, and All State wanted to give him the Not Safe Driver Discount.

You would think after that many violations a judge would suspend his license or something.

He's cost himself alot of money, with all the off field garbage. I think he's a great TE, but I wouldn't offer him very much.

If i would imagine it IS suspended, since some of the penalties were for driving on a suspended liscence.

I think if you get caught once on a suspended its not that bad. If it happens more than once it kinda becomes a bigger deal i.e. jail time. Could be wrong, Joe would be probably know for sure.

Fred seems like the kinda of person that doesnt listen. Thats a bad character issue imo.

Still hope he comes back, but tired of hearing about this crap.

This thread is basically almost dead. I'm ready for the draft now!

Not quite dead, we'll be inking a deal with Rex Grossman any day now. Not kidding.

In a odd way I think Flo would be a good lay.

Back in the 90's I did alot of insurance for people buying cars at used car lots as they would need insuranse to drive them off the lots. You would be surprised at some of the driving records I have seen over the years and they would still have a valid lic. I had one driving report that took over 15 pages to print and the guy still had a valid Lic. Funny things was when we asked about 95% of the people would say they had a clean driving record.
