Not sure I would agree with the statement on Flacco. That 2012 playoff performance from him was historic.

Flaccos postseason during the 2012 postseason and that Super Bowl, he was 73 of 126 passes for 1,140 yards, 11 touchdowns, no interceptions, and a 117.2 passer rating — the highest ever for a postseason since 1970, the year the AFL and NFL merged.
He had an amazing run for a handful of play-off games, but has never come close to duplicating it.

New England Patriots wide receiver Antonio Brown accused of rape in lawsuit

Wide receiver Antonio Brown, who was cut just days ago by the Oakland Raiders after a host of disciplinary problems, has been accused of rape in a civil lawsuit filed Tuesday in Florida.

The woman, who worked as a physical trainer for Brown, alleges the NFL Pro Bowler sexually assaulted her twice in June 2017 while they were working together, and a third time after a night out in Miami in May 2018.

"He used manipulation and false promises to lure her into his world, and once there, he sexually assaulted and raped her," the lawsuit says. "These heinous acts have inflicted severe and dramatic damage on Ms. Taylor, irreparably harming her ..
What does the NFL think of the Patriots, with an owner in prosecution of being serviced at a rub and tug and now a WR battling a Rape charge. They want him on the field this weekend?

Just to clarify, AB is not a 'charged' with rape. This latest is a civil case, not criminal.

But I hear your point. Patriots have an established record of handling sexual assault charges. They drafted a player from Nebraska who was later accused of sexual misconduct and immediately released him. Albert Haynesworth pleaded no-contest to a charge of a similar nature, and the Patriots released him too.

Since this is a civil, and not a criminal case, the most the NFL might do is place him on the Commissioners exempt list. But even that is a long shot at this point.

I think the Pats hold him out of practice and he will not play this week. Listening to the radio this morning and it was reported that the Patriots front office has seen the emails AB allegedly sent this lady and were shocked to say the least. Reportedly very graphic correspondence.

Most players in any type of situation tend to lay low, I highly doubt AB will do any of that.

I can not imagine the Pats are going to put this trainwreck on the field. He's just too much of a distraction and goes against everything they stand for.

Say what you want...2 cheating scandals, Kraft Rub and Tug, Hernandez killing people while on team, and AB fiasco....fuck these guys. I think it diminishes the accomplishments

But it won't matter at all because winning cures everything.

To be fair to Flacco, he was a Lee Evans and Billy Cundiff failure away from going to back to back super bowls

I just read that the Patriots have not issued AB a number yet. It is not looking any too promising that they will keep him around.

For NOW . If the accusations in the civil suit stand the Prosecutor could always open a criminal case.
