Implying Trump hasn't committed any white collar crime in the last 40 years? Also, you know, the beauty of charging someone with a crime means you have to use the burden of evidence to prove it. So if Trump is not guilty of anything, it will be because NY state doesn't have any evidence to back up its' accusations. So he has nothing to worry about if he hasn't committed any crimes! |

Unfortunately that standard doesn’t seemed to be mirrored by others. Well at least Biden is trending up...gotta get ready for those on coming right wing riots I’ve been told about. Lil disappointing I was told they would be at the polls, but apparently didn’t show. Shocking right? But at least are some are elevating garbage like that |
Re: Election Day Thread - Nov. 3, 2020
is there something I dont know about Nevada? Seems like people are giving it to Biden but its 588k Biden to 580k Trump .. with only 67% reporting.
Biden needs nevada, wisconsin and michigan .. otherwise he lost. Im not holding out hope for PA and assuming trump wins that. |

Re: Election Day Thread - Nov. 3, 2020
As long as the Senate stays republican (likely) and biden governs for all Americans - meaning finding compromises with house and senate(unlikely), this outcome could be a good step for getting past obama/trump era divisions.
I am hopeful that the 70% will find a path forward respectful of all americans. Why, politics can be a pendulum. The energy of obama pushed it far left, trump was an equal and opposite reaction by the hard right, but the mass of the political middle should dampen those swings, finding a new equilibrium. I hope Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |
Re: Election Day Thread - Nov. 3, 2020
strongly disagree Obama pushed it far left, i do think republicans reactions were acting as if he pushed things far left
strongly disagree to any attempt at making an apples to apples comparison of obama to trump I agree with you on a lot but your thoughts on obama i do not agree with at all comparing obama to trump is not trying to bridge the partisan divide but more like trying to normalize trumps language and behavior |
Re: Election Day Thread - Nov. 3, 2020
if you think trump = obama ... perhaps you arent in the moderate 70%
perhaps im not either if im gatekeeping this moderate 70% |

I can't stay out of these threads. I hate myself lol.
You can be educated and smart. But you can be educated and a dumb fuck too. I don't think degrees = intelligence. I have a Master's degree and I'm still a big fucking caveman lol. This election isn't about education or intelligence of voters. I don't think anyone here is dumb. There is just a fundamental difference in what we think the roles of government are. I'll never be able to wrap my head around why anyone would want big government and big taxes. Probably the same way people think I'm insane that I basically want as close to zero taxes and zero government as possible. In regards to Obama, if you're a Democrat, you're way less likely to think Obama moved us far to the left, than if you're not democrat. All about perspective here. |

I don't see Trump getting Nevada or Michigan or Wisconsin. Those 3 land Biden right at 270. |
if you think trump = obama ... perhaps you arent in the moderate 70%
perhaps im not either if im gatekeeping this moderate 70%
I am talking about the energy of the movement. The middle of the electorate can be swayed by energy (positive and negative) Obama highly energized the far left. That energy passed through the electorate, energizing the hard right too. My point is that the middle doesnt have the energy to sustain those polar opposites and instead will seek to draw to a mid-point. Maybe a little more liberal particularly in social concerns but finding a balance. A good example is the majority of Americans think black lives definitely matter and a majority of Americans think police officers serve a vital purpose. The energy of the middle will draw best parts while leaving the extremists screaming with their overextended political agendas Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Take solace, Biden might win the big prize but it's def. looking like conservatives won everything else (taking back the House exempted). Dems overplayed their hand, the in-party division about which way to go hurts us worse as all conservatives are unified up and down the ballot. The one which hurts is seeing a literal Q supporter winning her race easily. The same way that AOC/The Crew get press she will too. Amplifying the radical voices in the party does not help at all. AOC and the gang would be wise to work towards the middle because she will not win any followers hardlining left policies. |
