Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread

Nobody can talk to Lamar until Wednesday and as he doesn't have an agent they can't even start setting the ground for an offer until then. Anything other than a fully guaranteed deal will be matched by Baltimore so I genuinely don't think anyone is interested.

Re: Around the NFL - 2023 Offseason Thread

We should make an offer. Just not an insane one like other guys are getting. We'll trade our 3rd round comp. pick and sign him to 100 million guaranteed over 3 years. Crazily, that isn't even market value based on what other QBs are getting. But it's still a shit ton of money and all guaranteed.

If he doesn't pan out, we franchise tag Howell and then try to workout a long term deal contract with him.
Wow! In a league where QB play has fallen imo, this is really strange.

I told my girl last night that a surprise team like San Fran, New England, Houston would emerge this weekend and make a serious offer.
I think Las Vegas will end up being the team. There are 4 QBs expected to go early. Panthers clearly going for one. Texans will, Colts will. My guess is all 4 will be gone by the time LV picks unless they can trade up for Cardinals 3rd to grab a QB.

I don't think DS is going to want to spend $100mill the month before walking out the door.

Fair. We're basically in limbo. So even that probably isn't likely.

I thought the Jets were working a trade? If he ends up in LV then I would imagine the Jets will make a play for Lamar.

Unless you're talking about Richardson. If so I think someone will trade up to nab him before the 7th pick

Deal between Packers-Jets for Aaron Rodgers 'essentially done'

If Packers president Mark Murphy's words on Friday night didn't fully convince you that Aaron Rodgers' career with the Packers is basically over, a new, surfacing report should.

A trade deal between the Packers and New York Jets is "essentially done" and the sides have worked out what needs to be in place to make Rodgers a Jet, according to reports.

The only box left to check is Rodgers' approval of the trade.

This whole will he/wont he charade the last couple of years has totally been about him being the centre of attention, that free agency cannot start until Aaron makes his pronouncement. It doesn't take this long to make up your mind. I don't think anyone but the media cares, it is pretty sad really.

The Cowboys somehow thought they were in play for Jalen Ramsey

There's only one thing left to do.

Rodgers needs to make an hour long special on ESPN called "The Promise" and then bullshit for 59 minutes and 30 seconds just so he can announce "I... am going.... to New York!".

It will be ratings gold Jerry!

Plus his play trended down last year and he is old. Not to mention he is a choker. Too expensive for what he is now. It is like a 1-2 year window where you need to win or it is a mistake.
