What did you think of Chesnut eating 66 hot dogs and buns. unreal new record.
I think we'll compete with anything...hotdog eating is just dumb. That being said, that is an amazing figure. He's the american guy right? |

I'm so sick of the patriots. They are arrogant if you ask me. |
Re: The Never Ending Thread
But we are all transplants. None of us (minus native americans) are from the USA. I am italian, but I was born and raised in Boston. So while you may see italian food as from italy (and it is) I see it as from home (boston) cause plenty of americans are of italian descent. Just like if you think about the southwest, you think of mexican food, if it's the north it's italian food.
ps- if you we're talking about strictly local foods, not ethnicity, I'll take seafood any day of the week. There is a reason why people think Lobster and Steak is the most special dinner you can have, and you get that in the north. pps- bbq was invented in the midwest, not the south. From K.C. to Chicago. So what you're telling me is the south is responsible for heart attacks? LOL.
Well, my husband's family is from Hungary. Good Lord, there's only so much sausage a person can eat. My northern in laws always want me to cook because they love what I cook for them. They love southern food. I've been to KC and I'll take our bbq over theirs any day of the week. Now I have to go and start preparing my homemade milky way chocolate ice cream. It's not the 4th of July without it. I have my heart monitor hooked up and the paddles ready. :) |

Please keep in mind I did not say southern food sucks. I love a good homemade biscuit, and I like chicken fried steak too. I'll just take a good ole plate of ravioli's or pasta anyday. (memphis get's in the mix occasionally too...and to me I love a good memphis dry rub rib....mmmmm)
Now I have to go and start preparing my homemade milky way chocolate ice cream. Re: The Never Ending Thread
just an FYI, we are only about 50 posts and 3 pages away from passing the super happy fun thread as the most used thread in warpath history...what's even better is that this thread was kept alive by us with no help from mods. The super happy fun thread is kept alive because it's tacked to the page and will never come down.

No help from mods eh? I guess all my posts were all for naught. You know I can delete this thread with one push of the button. Be afraid, be very afraid <<Lady Brave plays something haunting on the old piano in B Minor>> |

Uh oh! You pissed off the Smack. But SmootSmack we don't really look at you like a mod. More like a normal member who can ban us and delete threads.
