And why don't people like him? Cause he can't stop running his damn mouth. He's always talking smack to other players, to coaches to whom ever will listen to his sorry ass. The reality is he just needs to STFU cause his game can't back up his mouth. That's why fans don't like him. Nothing chilldish about that.
It's pretty childish when you b*tch about him all the f'ing time and it is tiring. The same goes to Hall apologists, who b*tch about Hall like he's the best corner ever.
SmootSmack has owned me yet again. Indeed I forgot.

Even so, his glorious moments are still tempered by his gaffes, such as that kick in Houston and his missed XP.
that kick in Houston was 52 yards & he made the first one, right?
hard to ask a kicker to kick from 52 twice in a row

Regarding Hall.

I like he is saying the right things about yesterdays game. But fact is he is absolutely horrible this year. he is at a 70% coverage rate i think is what I read today.

What I can't stand about him is he runs his mouth non freaking stop and quite honestly hasnt backed any of that shit up in all most two years. Dez got him twice last night on huge plays. And he couldn't run down Whitten from behind. I am just really sick of the guy. I use to like him, but the last two years have been absolutely a joke when it comes to his coverage skills.

He plays way to far off at the line - I have no idea why he continues to do that and why someone hasn't said something about it. He turns and runs as soon as the ball is snapped. When the WR stops or turns in, they are ALWAYS wide open.

I suspect some kickers like it when they get frozen the first time because they then "know" how to kick it on the second try. It should not be that difficult to replicate the motion on the first try.

Sorry if someone else already posted this link. But apparently Gaffney got into a bit of Twitter trouble after the game:

You know that's interesting. I was thinking the same thing the other day... then I realized, MAYBE IT'S WHAT THE COACHES TELL HIM TO DO.

If the coaches wanted him to play near the line, they would.

Why does every fan think they know so easily where to lay the blame?
Orakpo - I mean really. What happened to you dude? Were you even out on the field today or were we just playing with 10 guys?
I was stating that yesterday that Orakpo was getting 1on1 with LT Doug Free
and got shut out on rushing the passer. When Romo got out of the pocket you Rak was no where to be found. Hey if you want to be a pro bowler then you need to make plays when the games is on the line.

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Cowboys at Redskins)

It was a heart breaking loss especially since the last 5 games our offense has been MIA. Our offense started out slow but played better as the game went on. The defense actually had a chance to play with a lead at the end of the half when we took the lead. But when our offense scored to come within 1 point to tie the game with the extra point i was wondering do we go for the 2 points to end the game. I mean I know 99% of the time you kick the extra point but we had the Dallas defense on their heels. I would not have minded if we went for 2points to win it. I was even thinking what if Gano would missed the extra point, serious it ran through my mine. I just knew we would come up short some how. Im just glad to see us fight til the end, with this injury riddle team. Im looking to draft our QB next year and lets see how Rex can plays the rest of the way. He can be our #2 or if the rookie is not ready take over til then.

I don't really bitch about the guy's play. He is what he is. Actually I defended him the last time we played Dallas and laid the smack on Haslett for leaving Hall one on one with Bryant. But you have to admit, all the smack talking is just garbage.

I wasn't referring to you in particular. I do agree with you about him talking too much and he needs to shut his mouth period. However, last year it was just ridiculous to see all of this pro-Hall/anti-Hall rants.
Makes no sense to just cut Hall. As frustrating as he is, he is our best CB. So if anything, you see if you can trade him for anything but to just outright cut him makes no sense
This.

I've been a notorious Hall hatter, and even thought he was garbage even before his days in Oakland. He had been overrated by fans/media on his INTs instead of his actual play. That said, we really can't just cut him unless we find a better option, and chances are it's going to come through the draft. Now, is CB a bigger priority than a QB or OL? Absolutely not.

I will say something positive about D. Hall. One thing that separates him from say a Haynesworth/Portis is the guy does give it his 100%. I can't say I've seen D. Hall quit on a play or give a half ass effort. For all his faults and big mouth, the guy gives it his all on the field. That much he can be applauded for.

and thats why i feel there are so many apoligist for d hall, my self included. it drives me insane the amount of s he talks but thats just who he is (ever been to norfolk), but the one thing d hall does is give his all, unfortunatly his all isn't all that great. but at the end of the day how pissed can you be at a guy who gives it everything he has.
