Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
Gaffney is not even under contract, correct? I mean is he technical still on the team?
I know online internet rosters haven't been updated much since the end of the season, so you can't go by any of those.
that is true, he is waiting to be reelected by the fans, he just needs majority. contracts can void themselves if not properly maintained, it looks like that may have happened in this case |
Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
We'll probably end up cutting him to save a little cap room. Moss would save us more, but I'd rather keep Moss.
I don't believe Gaffney is a FA this year. Still under contract. |

What? |
Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
why would a trade be mentioned if he wasn't under contract?

Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
I think the league knows we are probably just going to eventually cut him. So probably no trade

Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
A 12 page thread on a player who was asked to look for a trade.
Wow we need something new to dwell on. |

If we cut Moss in July, we save a lot more. |

Hmmm. Thought I heard otherwise. But regardless I really can't see us cutting him. Garcon, regardless of the hype, can't be expected to contribute consistently. Hank and Morgan are ? with injury status. And Moss knows the system better than anyone. ...that said Tana needs to step up this season. |
Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
Yeah a post June 1 cut does save more money (cutting Moss that is), but I think it's just a difference of a $100k or so, between cutting Moss post June 1 and cutting Gaffney (at any time)

Wow we need something new to dwell on.
Don't worry, I am just about to start a new thread comparing Luck's draft reactions to Griffins, and then expound on the need for OL. I got your back! |

But, but, but, I thought we had seen the last of the Luck/Griffin thread...according to one thread. LOL. |

Re: Jabar Gaffney Told to Seek A Trade
Garcon should be able to produce. With Hankerson, Morgan, and Moss, the Redskins passing/receiving game should be very sharp.

Pierre Garcon, WR for the Washington Redskins at NFL.com Considering he had arguably the greatest QB of all-time throwing to him till last year, when he became the primary WR target for most of the season, I would call those pretty pedestrian numbers. Oh and he's a bit of a fumbler, especially for a WR. |
