simple solution to our kicking situation:

i think cundiff stays as our extra point specialist
we sign rackers for field goals ≤ 49 yards
we sign gano for kickoffs + fgs > 49 yards

Bottom line; Redskins said we need more accuracy inside 50 yards then we do outside of 50 yards. They are rolling the dice. They want to make sure they make the layups and take a chance of on their 3PT percentage. That is what Cundiff gives them over Gano.[/quote]

cundiff did a lot better on kickoffs. so even if they end up tied in FG%, that's still a major difference.

I didn't watch tonight's game. There were some concerns about Cundiff struggling on FG 50 yards and over. Luckily that 46 yard miss came in preseason. But Gano would have made that particular attempt.
