he's off to a great start.
soon, i'll get rid of my redskins janikowski jersey
Forbath is consistent. He's the most consistent kicker we've had since Chip Lohmiller. |
That would be an interesting story if it wasnt for the squwawk avatar i asked for in sacrifice of a team win streak. I mean you guys can talk all you want about cosmic connections but we all know that in order to make things in the universe go your way there is nothing more tried and true than a good old fashioned sacrifice.
He speaks the truth. The man asked SS to turn him into a bird for crying out loud!!! I bow to you my man. We owe you bigtime. |

Never understood why so many people liked Lohmiller. He wasnt very good at kicking FG's. I get the monday night game against the Cowboys, but it was one game. Imo, the remembering of that one game makes skins fans think he was like that his entire career, and thats flat out wrong. He set a record that game, had a game winner later that same year, and not much else. His FG % in his time in Washington... 20-29 yds - 93.5% 30-39 yds - 76.5% 40-49 yds - 54.5% 50+ yds - 36% If it wasnt for the second round pick that was used to draft him, they would have kicked him to the curb a lot sooner. Kai is nothing like Lohmiller, Kai actually makes his FG's. |

I ask only that you tell the world my story when i am gone. |
I've got nothing but love for Kai, the kid is a stud. Looking around the league early in the season, I was mad jealous of young blood kickers like Henry and Justin Tucker. Boys have talent. Couldn't be happier to have one of our own. Glad to see this youth movement paying dividends where it matters-- points on the board.

With pleasure and pride my friend. With pleasure and pride. |
I'm glad he is under contract through 2014.

I didn't realize that. I would love to have a dependable kicker for the next 10 years. Hopefully he keeps it up and we lock him up before his contract runs out. |

Re: Update: Redskins Sign K Kai Forbath and OLB Mario Addison/Waive Cundiff and White
Its because he is a link to the glory years. And his name was Chip.

With all of the mediocrity at the kicker position for the past 15 years, it's easy to sight Lohmiller as the Redskins last franchise kicker....before Forbath. |

If Chip Lohmiller were around today, Skins fans would be running this guy out of town as fast as they could. It's amazing how people can take one good year, or one good game and create this fantasy or unrealistic image of a person. Example: D. Hall's 4 game interception against the Bears. Fans gushed about he was our best player on D, and how awesome he was. Realistically, he ended the end as the 3rd worst CB in the NFL. |
Re: Update: Redskins Sign K Kai Forbath and OLB Mario Addison/Waive Cundiff and White
It's really because he was the last kicker that stuck around for any real length of time. BTW I think kickers have gotten more accurate over the years so comparing FG %s from then to now is sorta apples and oranges.
