Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
It's not only the media stuff, it's like everytime he does a press conference, he has to throw his coach under the bus with his comments about being out on the field. I think he should be out there playing too, and practicing full go. But the coach doesn't want him to so respect that and just shut up. He's already shown he can't be trusted. Instead he has to constantly throw little jabs at Shanahan. I love RG3, but lately I've been seeing a little diva in him.
He's 22/23 years old, a millionaire, married his college girl, adored by hundreds of thousands of fans (camp was ridiculous with everyone shouting out his name), and very good to great at his chosen profession. If he only has a little diva in him, then that's another amazing thing. I really haven't heard him throw the coach under the bus. He's asked his opinion, which is that he wants to be out there now, in fact yesterday, but he acknowledges the coach makes the decision. Isn't that the appropriate use of boundaries? For him to say he has done everything he can, I think is a fair statement by all accounts. Now the coach has to make the decision for the team. How is that throwing the coach under the bus? He didn't storm out, and say if the coach doesn't put him in, he's holding out. He's not doing situps on his front lawn to show the coach up. He does what he can every day, and then lets the coach make the final call. For me, that's the way it ought to be. |
Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers Etc. are also "Divas"

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
Of course he's a diva and he wants to play, but this is getting a bit tired with him and the media. How bout RG3 keep quiet and just keep working at this point. We get it.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
I agree. RGIII should just say to the media, "We're following the recovery plan," and nothing more. I love his fire but in this case it need not be announced to the world. His "Coach says ___ but I say ____" schtick is the wrong approach.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
Cautious is the practical approach. Shanny is being cautious. Bob doesn't like cautious. He's young and wants to conquer the world. I am fine with the everything. Barring a setback he'll play week one and Shanny will have lived up to his part of the deal. That is all that matters.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
``There is no friction,'' he tweeted. ``There is an understanding between coach and player. That is all. Don't have to like everything''
Moving on. |

Really a good read of an article. Thanks |
Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
Went to camp today. RGIII looked good in limited 7 on 7 drills. But, I mean, its just 7 on 7. Capt Kirk looked good in 11 on 11 drills. Hit some nice passes over the middle and checked down into the backfield when he needed to. Sexy Rexy was sexy as always. ;-) Pat White didn't look too hot. Except for one good run, he had several passes off target and would have taken a sack on a couple of occasions instead of rolling out of the pocket and throwing it away when the defensive coverage was good.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 2.0
Lance Lewis > stallworth, Briscoe, hankerson. Went to ECU with him, he simply makes plays, he goes up and gets it and can make ppl miss and a smooth pass catcher with great hands the others do not IMO.
