Report: 17 NFL QB coaches favor Carr over Manziel - NFL.com (Link is a few days old).

I'm going to go ahead and say that this is ridiculous. I don't know how anyone could say, with a straight face, that Carr is a better QB than Manziel. I bashed Manziel once in a college football thread on here, but my thinking has since changed. I believe he's going to be a great QB, while Carr, to me, just screams bust.

Perhaps my thinking is wrong. But if I'm Jacksonville, Houston, Oakland, or Cleveland, I take Manziel over Carr 100 out of 100 times.
You're not being stupid, but you are being a homer.

Going 3-13 two years after a trade is never part of a well designed plan. If you think the team is ready and needs to add a more dynamic player at the quarterback, that's one thing. But if you acquire that player and the team ends up posting the worst season in 40 years, you can't pretend the trade was smart.

The Redskins undeniably set themselves back. Obviously the prudent thing to do now is to take Griffin and make him part of the solution. But the decision making process has to change. Getting rid of Shanahan was a nice first step. But you also have to stop doing the things Mike Shanahan would do, and the Redskins don't seem particularly interested in changing their ways.

Meanwhile, Griffin is just kind of stuck here, contractually. He needs more help to win, but he can't get help from say, the second overall pick in this draft because they traded it for him.
So the fact that the team gave up on the coach means nothing right?

And the coach's son who thought using that franchise QB as a wide receiver was a good idea to try?

The complete collapse of both Shanahans' ability to coach at a pro level wasn't part of the plan, but it happened and it's been corrected.

Now, we're back on the right track and to regret having our first franchise QB in 3 decades of not one of our problems. Now, we need to build a good team around him and I have faith that we will. The offensive line is the first step, or should be.

Does anyone know why we would not get a compensatory pic for our Lorenzo Alexander that went to the cardinals. Did his contract void or something that made him technically not a free agent. Or was it just not a large enough deal.

We signed Biggers which may have negated losing him and this not getting a pick.

We have had this discussion before and it comes back to players lost and signed.

Yeah our losses somehow did not outweigh the additions. It's based on some unknown formula. Who knows.

I thought Biggars was a minimum contract for the most part. I still think we will get a 7th round pick for Lorenzo.

What do think of this draft. I liked the CB in the 7th and Borland, Kennard & Urban.

Ed Reynolds would be a nice addition at S on the 2nd round nice size at 6'2".

I agree 100%, the question is if he should be a high 2nd round pick

CBS Sports has Reynolds in the 3rd or 4th round, so does The Sports Exchange
.............................................................................................

Ward is a good safety, the question is strong or free .... I watched him twice, great instincts..... play maker

S Brooks of FSU..... meh

S Deone Buchannon Washington State looks good too,but is probably a SS......he is : 6'1' 211 4.49 / BP 19 reps ..... 2013 stats 109 tackles 5 interceptions

Maybe this guy will drop... supposed to be the second best tackle in the draft, might be a steal in the second.
