Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
Way to blow it.
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
Giants deserved this game. Congrats to them. You can't expect to win by giving up three unanswered TDs.
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
Just wait for the tards to come out strokin their meat to this loss.
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
We deserve this loss because of horrible coaching plain and simple. The coaching staff fucked us all day including the horrible call of putting Betts in at the end and not portis.
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
why oh why does this team a full 45 seconds to pick a play... this team doesn't have a no-huddle offense.
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
I am getting extremely sick of Gibbs. His conservative nature has not won us games, and I'm tired of him skrewing us.
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
Well here come the nay sayers
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
For all those blaming Gibbs for the playcalling, here are a few thoughts to consider:
(1) It wasn't Gibbs who was getting penalties. (2) It wasn't Gibbs that allowed the G-men to score 3 TDs. (3) It wasn't Gibbs who tripped on 4th and goal. (4) We don't know that Gibbs called the plays, in fact I highly doubt it. (5) JC looked EXTREMELY inconsistent. |
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
chalk this loss up to inexperience by campbell, and 2 bullshit calls for the giants!
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
what 2 bullshit calls
chalk this loss up to inexperience by campbell, and 2 bullshit calls for the giants!
No...it's coaching. Plain and simple. Sure Campbell is inexperienced, but he didn't piss the game away, the coaches did. |
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
chalk it up to ridiculous playcalls on 3rd and goal and 4th and goal with the game on the line. Campbell makes clutch throws to get to the 1 and they take the ball out of his hands

i completely agree and iwth campbell at qb he could have run if the oppurtunity arose... i thought once again when it counted campbell played well im just unbelievably pissed off that the skins teased us like that with getting it down on the one just to get stopped |

I would have run it twice too. JC completed fewer than 50% of his passes and was inconsistent all day. The only aspect of the calls that I didn't like was that it was Betts and not Portis, who was in the game. |

I agree 100% |
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
chalk this one up to the POS run, run, pass theory in the third q.
hey joe, that never works |
Giants deserved this game. Congrats to them. You can't expect to win by giving up three unanswered TDs.
You said it, the Gmen deserved it. Coughlin outcoached the Redskins overpaid and overaged staff. This was the most pathetic loss I have seen in Gibbs 2.0 JC looked like a rookie. He throws a good deep ball but his short passes are terrible. The D totally let this team down. I know they were on the field a lot but when the O struggles the D has to win the game and this was a game they needed to win for the skins and they couldnt answer the call. Badl unis, bad O, bad D, bad loss. All in all a bad day. |
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
I'm absolutely disgusted right now. A 2-0 team facing an 0-2 team that allowed 80 points in two games, ranked dead last in pass defense, going up against a team that was ranked in the top 5 on third down, and we lost. What the mother f***?
I just want to say that our defense is looking a lot like last year. They gift wrapped 3 turnovers to us, and we still lose? They were running and passing on us like it was 2006 all over again. Weren't they like 7-8 on third down in the second half? I don't know what the exact number was, but it was pretty fuckin good. And the conservative playcalling, sigh. I don't know where to begin. The only time we weren't conservative was on the last drive when we absolutely had to score points. I'm sick of this bend but don't break D. 21 unanswered points? And we can't even put it in the end zone at the end of the game. And another thing, wth was with our offense? 2nd half = 3 and outs, turnover, no points. This team is not a contender right now. |
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread

During the pregame they had a section called contender or pretender and they unanimously picked the Redskins as contenders. Boy we sure made them eat their words. |
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
the redskins always find a way...
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
ummm can u say put portis in the god damn game when its on the line get the fuck outta here he is the best down there especially getting to the corner like they were trying fucking MORON ass decision by gibbs not to have clinton on BOTH those faggot ass runs.... fuckin pissed me off fuckin bullshit ass offensive play calls/ personell decision making.

Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
thats a bad coached game... not enuff blitzes.. at right times... not enuff deep throws b4 the 2 minute drill.... BullShit
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
That was some sorry Offenece in the second half.
We gave that game away, it was ours and we just gave it away. Grrrrrrr!!!! Hail Skins! |
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
Why is it that, after a win, 99% of the people on this site act as though we are Super Bowl bound and, after a loss, 99% of the people on this site act as though we couldn't beat a high school girls team?
I get emotional about this stuff, but some of the stuff I have read on this site is unbelievable. Were there some horrible play calls? Yes. Were there some horribly executed plays? Yup, and in the end, we made more bad plays than good ones. Keep things in perspective. We're 2-1 and with a Bears win, we'll be tied for first in the division. Try to chill out and realize that the season is young, both units have shown cause for optimism (albeit not unbridled optimism), and that each game, by itself, doesn't decide the fate of the season. |

Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
Poor Second Half Effort By Skins....give The Gaints Credit.. They Did Not Back Down...and Deserve To Win This One.
|
Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
I'm not saying the season is over, but the Giants just provided the rest of the league a blueprint as to how to beat us. Even after our first two wins my mindset was that we had yet to see how this whole bend but don't break defense was going to handle a good offense like the Giants, and clearly it doesn't work. I want us to be a good team this season but we're pretty inconsistent if you ask me, and inconsistency doesn't work in this league. Everyone was talking about how good we were on third down on offense and defense, and it meant absolutely nothing because we were destroyed on third down today on both sides of the ball.

Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
Not on here to be a d!ck. It was a great pair of games. The skins won the first game, the Giants won the second. Iw as reffing today, got home around 5:30 showered and started watching. Just finished. I almost just turned it off at half-time, thought the skins were really going to run it up. Still can't believe that was the same D that played the previous 2 1/2 games.

Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
We got beat plain and simple...time in the bye to correct.

Re: Week 3: Giants at Redskins Game Thread
i'll say it again, since no1 wants to acknowledge the fact that CLINTON PORTIS WAS NOT IN ON THOSE HAND OFFS
BULLLLLLLSHIT. BYE. |

Trick is to have fun..win or lose. The season is still new and anything can happen.

The reeling Giants at home. If we're going to be contenders, this was a game we had to have to effectively knock out the Giants and keep pace with Dallas. The fact that this game was at home makes it even worse. |

I said this in the Falcons game last year, and no one listened then either.
Now, the thing that I think you are getting at is you are thinking that maybe the Giants might be a better team than us. Well, they certainly were on this day. As for the season, lets let it play out a little more before we decide the sky is falling. And if the Giants are a better team than us...well we have a one game lead on them and another head to head game left. So it might not even matter. Chillax for now, is my humble advice. |
