Re: WFT Free Agency
KJ Wright ... he wanted a 2 yr deal w the Boys and they wanted 1 yr .. they couldnt agree, cant find anything on money.
If we could get him for 2 yrs/14/7 guar .. I think he could be the rug to tie the whole thing together. A leader, decent at coverage and LOS, winner .. hopefully he doesnt turn into a DJ Swearinger where it just to much vocal
I don't see how Wright would turn into Swearinger - he was awesome leader at Seattle so I'm not sure where this comparison came from? I don't think we are going to sign any FA players until after the draft. I wouldn't oppose to the idea of signing Wright though, he is not fast as he was in the past but he has the smarts. |

Re: WFT Free Agency
Oh yeah, totally agree ... but in his case, he would have been drafted higher than where we took him (prolly second round at worst). And who knows if he ever gets injured.
His "problem" was his pursuit of his education, and dream of med school. You don't go pro early when that is also important to you. He's gonna be just fine.
So many talented guys don't make it NFL. Takes so much talent and some luck. Good stuff man. |
Villenueva is visiting with the Ravens. If we want him, we better move quick.
I think he'd be an excellent signing.
Another 32 year old over hill guy. No thanks. We need to be drafting young guys to make our OL like DL. In a draft this deep at T, no need to sign old guys when you can draft young ones--except our FO probably fixated on LB. |

Ok I see your point although I still think it's highly unlikely, simply because of Del-Rio, he knows how to call defense. Greg Manusky and Joe Barry aren't even close to Del-Rio's level. |
