they said player. i'd vote with czab and go with springs. the quotes sounds like him. arch talks a bit differently. springs was rushed back onto the field and he's the most talkative guy on the team... he also had the best memory of what was said and softened and deflected those quotes at length (compared to anyone else). arch has been adamant about saying "no comment" so i doubt it's him... he also wasn't here before this year to know about the backstory with pierce et al. It has to be springs.
Apparently you havent been keeping up with Springs quotes. There is no chance it is him.

What has Springs said that makes you think that Springs is not the source?

If we beat atlanta, all of this talk with subside, and the players will once again respect williams. Shawn Springs being healthy again has really transformed things from what I see. No matter what the players think of him, Williams is a good defensive coordinator, the BAD TACKLING is my main concern, it looked soooo much better this weekend.

I've narrowed it down to (in no particular order):

1. LaVar
2. Dan Snyder
3. Osama Bin Laden
4. Not Me (that's for all you Family Circus fans out there)

uh, what have you been reading? he basically recited every quote made to TF word for word in his unscripted, unguided responses. he denies it, but do you expect anyone to come out and say "I did it, so you guys can go ahead and stop talking to me and cut me right now." ? No one's going to do that.

I think offiss should be added to the list

I think it was Archuletta.

Re: Must-Read Article on GW and the Defense

In Springs post game interview, he said:

1) It was not me, b/c that is not how I was raised. My Dad was a pro player and he would kill me if he found out I was talking anonymously behind the coaches back. I was taught that you don't air the laundry.

2) If it had been me, you [the press] would have known it and I hope you recognize that I am man enough to be stand up about things like this.

3) There was a lot of what was said in the article that was true. Yes - Williams is arrogant, so is he. He prefers Williams to be arrogant.

Springs was clearly offended that anyone would think it was him. He said he didn't care who made the statements and jokingly thanked Friend for writing it b/c it brought the team together.

If you saw Springs postgame interview, you would know it was not him.

Off topic again, did anyone else see how small Arch looked standing next to Taylor on the sideline yesterday?
I saw that too and thought the same thing. AA looked like some one's kid on the sideline. It's hard to believe that guy was such a monster in the Pac-10.

The article gets an A+ IMO. This has definitely rallied the troops. I think its BS when everyone wants to hang a whistle blower at first and then after some time has passed everyone talks about how courageous that person is.

Lastly, this has to be Springs. It sounds so much like him. I love the guy and how he speaks his mind (remember his quotes before the first Giants game about LaVar). Of course he's going to deny it, all the simple minded F---s out there would never forgive him.

The stuff about being a player who wants out and is close to the end of his contract is from Dexter Manley if I'm correct. Not to be too judgemental about him, but I don't think he's what I would call a reliable source.

He also said he only has to practice two days a week and gets paid good money so why should he complain.

Honestly, I have no idea who said it. I know for sure now (after his comments) it wasent Springs.

I can gaurantee it wasent Sean Taylor for one reason and one reason only...he refuses to speak to the media.

I read that it was someone in the secondary, who was a starter, so I guess maybe Rogers is the guy? I dont really know. It seems like someone who's beent here a while made those quotes. At this point, if it rallys the troops, I dont really care.

Good points, and I would also go to add a number four that I heard on Triple X radio. Actually I guess it would be a number 5, to go along with what TAF just said.

He said something on the lines of "Anyone can be a T.O. in this league, but atleast put your name when you say something like this".

I really hope it wasn't Rogers. He has tons of other stuff to worry about(like let's say catching a freaking potential INT), instead of going out of his way to call out the coach.

you expect someone to come out and admit it, when it guarantees no one's going to talk to you again?

notice how he knew the quotes in that article word for word? but i guess no one here's ever denied doing something wrong... ever. ;)

rogers wasn't here long enough to cover the complete timespan, neither was AA, or clark, or harris, or wright. Prioleau isn't a starter. that leaves taylor or springs, and from the sound of the quotes and taylor's anti-social nature towards the media, i doubt it's him.
