Dannyboy is one of the most successful owners, fiscally in the NFL., inspite of a loosing record. In fact I think the Redskins are the most profitable franchise in the NFL.

so possible three team race for hackett, and if the bucs don't go after bryant johnson, we can't really outbid them (and we wouldn't want to, but the competition could drive the price up).

That's crazy for a QB. We're going to have a second Pillsbury Throwboy in the league.

Just checked, he was 255 last season.

It should be noted also that there are some rumors that the Panthers are giving up on Dwayne Jarrett and may look to cut him by draft day.

Should that happen, do you take a chance on him?
It should be noted also that there are some rumors that the Panthers are giving up on Dwayne Jarrett and may look to cut him by draft day.

Should that happen, do you take a chance on him?
There's really no reason. Carolina has a really impressive record of drafting useless players in the second round (Keary Colbert, DeShaun Foster, current Redskin Eric Shelton, and now Jarrett), and I would think that history would see this as a case of Carolina overvaluing another offensive skill player in the draft as opposed to souring on him for personal reasons.

Because of his draft status, he will bounce around the league for awhile, but he's sort of in the same boat as former teammate Mike Williams at this point.

BTW--the only consistent key to breaking the curse of being a 2nd/3rd round draft pick of the Carolina Panthers or a USC WR (Jarrett is both), seems to be having the name 'Steve Smith'.

didn't jarrett run a 4.7 or something last year?

nope 4.62 at pro day i imagine

03/11/08 - WR Dwayne Jarrett was arrested early Tuesday and charged with driving while impaired. He has his first court date following the incident on Wednesday. "We talked to Dwayne today and he and all our players understand that these types of situations are unacceptable," Panthers general manager Marty Hurney said. "He certainly knows how we feel."
02/07/08 - WR Dwayne Jarrett needs to get his act together and quick.

winnar!

seriously though, he's not just a "didn't live up to expectations" bust, he seems like a "truly cannot play... at all" bust.
