Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
Some of the people here that have made a pitch for Zorn are very intelligent IMO. I have been reading their post for years and consider them very knowledgable. To label one a moron because they don't neccessarily agree with you makes one wonder just who the moron really is.
Never say never about the potential outcome of any situation. Zorn could go on to become a very good coach in this league. Unfortunately for him it's not likely to be with the Redskins. No hard feelings, just wanted to point out the fact we don't appreciate being labled that way.

There's no reason to think Zorn can't ever be a good coach, just because he's not having success here
You are both right that Zorn may be able to head a team somewhere else, and to call supporters morons is a little harsh. But look at what he has done. He has not moved this offense at all. And that is really what his specialty is. I don't think he has the game knowledge to lead a team strategically. With that said. He has been able to take a team that has no reason to play and somehow motivate them to play with heart. It's a very strong accomplishment in my book. But to say that unfortunately he wont get a chance to coach in DC is strange to me. The man has been a failure here -- that is what is unfortunate. |

IF he guides this team to wins over the Giants and Dallas, and Bruce Allen sees that it is his actions, not that he is just a part of this system but is actually leading and "guiding" 53 men together to victory, I think he could stay, with a new OC, etc. But I think he has to understand that it is a tenuous chance, and that the club needs to do due diligence in bringing a working FO and coaching structure to OUR team Danny boy lol. |

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
IMO I say give Zorn another year with the same team he has right now staff and all atleast S.Lewis and see what unfolds. Before we jump on Shanahan. If it doesnt work out than we snagg Gruden from behind the booth.
Gruden has more respect for the history of the game than anyone else besides B.Belichick. I feel Gruden has more of pure love of the game than Shanahan. Shanahan comes of to me more like the money is more important than the game. Why has he kept quit all season, so he can make more money if he doesn't discuss the issues that went on in Denver. Thats the only reason he didnt take a braodcasting job, he didnt want to slip and say something that would viod his contract. |

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
Well Iwant Shanahan and I am pulling hard I mean hard for Dallas.
|
Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
We should all pitch in and start a campaign in Dallas. We can have trucks drive around town which have signs which say, "Good Job Jerry" on one side and "Keep Wade" on the other side. We can also market "Keep Wade" t-shirts.

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
Seriously, DS can outbid JJ, and JJ isnt gonna give Shanahan the control he wants, so even if the cowboys lose out (please God) we would still get Shanahan if that's who BA (and DS by proxy) wants.
Cowboys need to lose Always |

ESPN reported that Holmgren turned down a seattle offer to be in "senior management"

Just because Sherm Lewis has come in and the team is scoring more points, don't forget that the guy coaching the players is still Zorn...show some respect to a coach who has made the best of a very tough situation |
