Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
So it looks like Nate Clements is available. I wouldn't mind us taking a look at him.
Nate Clements is out after all in San Francisco | National Football Post Scouting Report Comment: Clements is a seasoned veteran who has been a starter for almost all of his previous nine years. He missed the last half of the 2009 season with a shoulder injury and finished with 35 tackles and one interception. He is a good-sized corner who has the strength to be physical at the line of scrimmage when jamming receivers. Clements has the speed and acceleration to get in the receiver's hip and trail him around the field. He has a quick hip flip to turn and run and can plant and drive with minimal excess movement in transition. He shows good route recognition and the ability to read the quarterback's eyes when in off coverage. |

Swing and a miss. That's 0 for 2. I think you mean Cutler. We have had enough clutter as it is. |
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Yeah. I wouldn't mind Clements either BUT I think the bidding for him is going to be pretty high. I don't think he comes cheap. He's probably in Rodgers class but without the stone hands and I don't know how he would fit Haslett's system.
If they sign him great, if not, no big thing. |

hearing anything about adding another dlinemen? I said on another thred id like to see us add Franklin instead of C. Jenkins to go with Cofield, J. Jenkins and Bowen. Get a big NT and have depth on the line. Its a lot of money to tie up but the trench is a good place for it. Keeps legs fresh |

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
They could be cutting him to replace him with Nnamdi.
I'd love to sign Clements. |
Agent Drew Rosenhaus reportedly sent a mass email to all 32 teams Wednesday night announcing the Bears were making TE Greg Olsen available for trade.
Nice...trading one of their best players. Now Olsen is saying he's mad because he wanted to play his entire career in Chicago. The Panthers are trying to put something together for him. They need TE since they just signed Jeremy Shockey. |
