Re: Coaching Changes
With Grossman and Beck I think you'd be hard pressed to find any QB coach who wouldn't be outmatched for the role. Hard to make lemonade when you don't have any lemons.

Actually I think part of the problem is we do have lemons as quarterbacks! :cool-smil |
Mike tice named OC in Chicago.
Duce Staley? That's random.
Anyway, what has Green proven to show he'd be a good position coach. Just because he was a great DB doesn't make him a good coach. Plus KM interned (essentially what Duce is doing now). They cut their teeth a bit
Green has great leadership skills and knows how to play the position, that's why. |

sad but true |
Re: Coaching Changes
So, St. Louis radio reporting that Fisher may be announced as head coach of the Rams as early as Sunday.
This possibly puts Joe Philbin toward the top of the wish list for the Dolphins. And maybe he brings Matt Flynn with him to Miami, taking them out of the RGIII/RT race I presume |

The problem with Green is the same as with Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky or Joe Montana. When you are the best at your position and more physically gifted than anyone else it's nearly impossible to coach up lesser players. That's why Jason Garrett and Mike Tice, while serviceable players, are better coaches than Troy Aikman or Tony Gonzalez would ever be. IMO, a player like Vernon Dean would be better because he had to rely on technique just to be a serviceable player. |
