It hit me they were likely islamic 5 minutes after i typed that. A former intelligence guy i heard this morning said that if they are recent imigrants they very well may have superior training or backgrounds compared to the type of Arab Islamic terrorist we are more used to, due to their ongoing fighting with Russian. Although it sounds like they have lived in the US for awhile now so who knows.
yep. Read in Politico this morning they had just come over in the last couple years, then read on fox they had been here 7-8 years, now read on MSNBC they've been here over a decade. Who f*cking knows, the media gets an F on their bullsh*t reporting. Apparently journalism is either dead, or they've hired a bunch of jackass 20-somethings to do a job a twenty year vet should be doing. |

Looks like we're in the final stages, the chap is cornered and the shooting has started.
Who wants to see him arrested, who wants him dead? I want him dead, don't care about additional intel. |

Interesting quote from the Uncle article. Totally agree, gregoryvii - as Americans we look at the quote from the uncle and think that he is denouncing the brothers. However, look carefully at his words. First, the quote says "He deserved his." At first glance I took this to be a typo meaning instead "He deserved this." But, read it as written - to an Islamist supremacist, death by jihad involving the killing or maiming of infedels is rewarded with highest honors in the afterlife. "He deserved his," as well as "They do not deserve to live on this earth" could be taken to mean that he deserves that high honor. Of course, Americans misunderstand those statements because we look through a western lens, not the lens of Islamist supremacy - perfect example of Taqiyya, or intentional deception in order to further to cause of Islam. |

However, he'd be assured a swift execution if we sent him to Russia, so that may be more practical. Its going to take decades to get a needle in the SOB here if he turns himself in. |

The scene will take a while to clear, there's probably a body with a bomb strapped to it. Poor Bomb Squad dudes.

The last thing we need is to spend millions of taxpayer dollars giving him a "fair trial," lengthy appeals, feeding/clothing him in prison for decades until we can put a needle in him. |

No need, he'll kill himself. How many people would be ready for a summer of carnage, I wonder?. If this came to your town how would you cope? It's like a bad episode of 24. |

The uncle also called his nephew "a loser". To me, the uncle would not have used the derogatory term if he was invoking taqiyya - which is a self protection and limited in application to hiding was beliefs if that person is under immediate, mortal harm (further, Chechens are generally Sunni which doesn't recognize taqiyya as a formal principle since it was developed by the minority Shia muslims in response to majority Sunni oppression). I would imagine that any follow-up will fully explore potential collaborators with these two. If the uncle is involved, I doubt he will be able to hide it. Until there is some evidence of that, however, I will take his statement at face value and assume he is both angered by and ashamed of the actions taken by his nephews. |
