And yet the Dallas hype machine will be back in full force come August.

Nothing like the team twitter account throwing Dak under the bus, like WTF?

@dallascowboys
Dak Prescott gave away the ball twice in the narrow loss to the 49ers, in a matchup the Cowboys had a chance to win if they didn’t again generate self-inflicted wounds.

That hit was probably ordered by Jerry Jones himself.

For as bad as this franchise has been for so long, 'dem boyz have been right there with us for the most part. It's just more funny with them because of the annual hype train they get to ride on, the one that never really rolls through the DMV.

I didn’t think it was real at first, but that is fireable offense imo. Completely uncalled for. Could you imagine that happening here? 5 alarm fire

You mean a 5 alarm fire with the brass hers? Because Difference is with Dallas they went into the season thinking they were set at QB. Here it would be a total knock on our FO/staff/owner for going in with Wentz and Taylor. In Dallas it is a knock on Dak.

That is the sweet spot.

At this point I rank Dak higher then Purdy. Hurts been a great season, still need to see more before i say he is in the elite level.

NFL/Fans are all so desperate for the next Manning level super star at QB, that as soon as a rookie throws his first TD everyone is on that guys jock.

Lets see a actual body of work equal too Mahomes or Rogers. I think Josh Allen is great but he still hasn't gotten over the big game hump. I think Burrows is the next great one. Mahomes and Burrows is probably our next Manning and Brady.

Dallas has a really interesting situation now with Dak. He's looking more like a top 15ish kind of QB vs the top 10 or borderline top 5 QB we thought he was not long ago. Trouble is his contract, his dead cap hit won't be an easy one to swallow until 2026 so they're kind of stuck with him.

He was at his best when Elliot was at his best, they both have declined together, they feed off each other.

Jerry had a old man boner for those two dreaming of Aikman/Smith 2.0

I think Dak was a tough situation in general. He played well through a regular season schedule including 3 division titles in 7 years. Do you let that walk? I think some team would've given him the same contract if the Cowboys hadn't.

I definitely don't blame them for giving him the big contract, we should have done the same thing with Cousins. I'd rather take my chances with a good QB vs floundering around with what we've been dealing with.

Oh im in no way excusing it either way. It is totally fucked up. I just was curious if you thought it would be a 5 alarm fire here from the brass or from the fans?

Im completely happy about the whole situation. Once again the hype machine has crashed and burned in spectacular fashion. Lol
