Re: Now What??
Well someone has to get fired....I think Snyder would get hugely popular if he fired Cerrato, but we know that's not going to happen.
The problem is firing Cerrato does not fix the offensive issues. It would only help us next yr. It would not help us right now. It's a start yes but won't fix our issues right now. |
Re: Now What??
I don't believe its the players. Two 6'4 receivers and no balls thrown to either of them in the redzone and still no deep passes. What happened to the 2 tight end sets we were suppose to see? Zorn is in over his head. He would never admit it.
We need to do it more but Kelly did get a ball in the end zone and he was well covered. We didn't execute the play. Det did the same thing and they executed the play. |
I think I would react to this loss by seeing if Holmgren would come in as an advisor and release Blache(this may be kneejerk and I reserve the right to rescind this statement by Tuesday) as the sacrificial lamb from this debacle.
I dont think that is a bad idea. I actually suggested it earlier this week. Zorn worked under Holmgren. So there woudl be little turnover. I dot think releasing Blache is a knee jerk reaction. If I am spending top dollar to upgrade a defense that was ranked 8th last year and we play worse. I think that is a direct reflection of Blache. He is stubborn and wont adapt. Saying that what do we lose if we let him go when our defense isn't going to stop anyone while he is here. |

It won't, but there's a guy on another thread saying that he could care less if Zorn stays, but that Cerrato must go. Honestly, I don't know why people have to put blame on ONE thing, and one thing only. Firing just Cerrato or firing just Zorn, or getting rid of ONE player won't change things. There needs to be changes all throughout this team, because it seems that all the areas from the top down have issues. |
Re: Now What??
Ill add my Two cents....Chris Cooley not in the mix, Jim Zorn calling like he's not ready to be a coach
of course hey with all this drama and stuff what are the odds they come out next week and Take Tampa bay to the woodshed
and this is where the blind faith/hope starts all over again....game after game. Good luck with your emotions. |
Re: Now What??
i think its time for zorn to go. his play calling the redzone is awful, he doesnt run the ball which i think this team is built to do and last play of the game why not take a shot at the end zone
dude...he stopped running the ball because that is all he did in the first game and we could not move the ball for shit. Last two games we haven't scored but total offense has been pretty decent. Should the playcalling be better/more balanced...yes? Should we blame Campbell, hell no...he carved up Detroit today. |

Cerrato needs to be let go and there needs to be an emphasis that Cerrato #2 not be waiting in the wings to take over. The next player personnel man needs to be a man like Marty Schott who says "If the owner attempts to alter the roster or influence it then pay me the rest of my contract because you will have just fired me" Remember when Marty had that clause in his contract? That guy was before his time. Snyder couldn't stomach that for more than a season though...that mark ass buster! |

wow The last guy that called the Radio had a point...Maybe Collins should be the starter.

Huh? |

Yeah I really don't get those that insist on continuing to blame JC. I think it's quite clear our problems run much deeper than QB. JC has been one of our few bright spots this season. |

My only question is why are we firing Blache? I presume you are bringing in Holmgren to help Zorn on the offensive side of the ball. Unless I'm missing something and Holmgren is a defensive coach? Why fire Blache at this point? Unless you have his replacement. |

Does this post sound eerily familiar to anyone else? :D |
Re: Now What??
I don't think firing anyone is the answer right now.

You're the least of our problems Todd. Go campaign for a starting spot somewhere else man...this is all about the hurt & mourning. |
