Re: Kirk Cousins Expected To Start Sunday
Wrong. The penalty was for Shanny and Bruce Allen restructuring the original contracts, pushing a large portion as guaranteed money into the uncapped year (2010), reducing future cap liability. I still feel that this was legal since there was no CBA, and that year had no salary cap, but the owners colluded to not go there, and Dallas and Washington thumbed their noses at the rest of the owners. Bullshit penalty, but Vinny had ZERO to do with it.
Wrong the penalty was Snyder for accepting the deal or to pay for it. Cerrato for making the deal. and I would blame the NFL for signing off on the restructures then after the fact claiming foul and assigning a penalty. In reality its their fault for signing off on the contracts to begin with... penalize that person not the Skins. |

I think he was pretty honest in his presser. The only thing he's hiding is part of this benching is performance based.
Vinny signed a worthless piece of shit to a record high amount for a player on defense. Vinny has every single bit to do with it
You're missing the point - Haynesworth's original contract had NOTHING to do with the penalty. Shanny and Allen restructuring Haynesworth's (and Hall's) deals, and sweeping money into the uncapped year is why we were penalized. Again, the owners clearly colluded to discourage this, and to enforce penalties on us and Dallas, but Vinny wasn't here when the so-called offense was committed.

I'm in a win/win situation. If Mike gets the team winning and Snyder decides to let the contact play out then I'm happy. If Snyder fires Mike tomorrow I'm happy. I think it would be a huge slap in the face if Cousins plays better and the team wins. Against a decent Falcons team. Then plays well and wins against two division rivals whom RG3 could not beat this year. < that makes me giddy. I'm for the under dog. Think about it though. Talk with MS, fire Haslett after this season, bring in someone with a different idea for DC, fix special teams maybe a new coordinator, have a good draft, pick up key pieces with the $36 mill, cut some older players and bring in more youth or.... Fire everyone and start all over and expect another 3-5 yrs for this team to get on track again with a new scheme. |
Re: Kirk Cousins Expected To Start Sunday
Shanny can't return, he just can't. It's over.

Your missing the point. Had the original contract never been offered we would not have been in the predicament. However, we were. I'll go to the grave saying that what Allen and Shanahan cooped up was not against any rules or laws. I don't care what the NFL says or any NFL payed judge. IF it was against the rules or any agreement then when the Redskins turned in those restructured contracts the NFL had a duty or responsibility to deny them and tell both teams they could not do that per whatever agreement or rule and told them to rework those contracts. |

The team needs to be blown up. There are only a few players that are even worth keeping. It will be 3-5 years anyway in my opinion before the Skins are competitive just because of talent level. |

I doubt 3 games will amount to much performance wise for RG3. Maybe if the team was in the play offs or something but I doubt 3 regular games will not hurt RG3. |

I don't understand why he just doesn't come out and say it. Putting him as an inactive player was a little far in my opinion though. It should be Cousins 1 and RG3 2 at this point. |

Re: Kirk Cousins Expected To Start Sunday
Tebow lovers are going hard against RG3 on the comments. They are still upset about Tebow.

Re: Kirk Cousins Expected To Start Sunday
I know it is not my 7 million dollars, but how can Snyder think this circus is better than just firing MS now?
