Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
If Griffin comes out against Houston, has 250 to 300 yards, a couple td's, has a few back breaking runs for 40-50 yards, then backs that up against another bad team, then all the Cousins talk will go away. That will give him some early confidence to get going early. That's what he was drafted to do and he needs to start doing it against two bad teams with bad QB's. We can't wait around all season for him to grow into the job. The time to perform is now as everything is in place for him to have a great year. Other young QB's are doing it so he should too.

I think the giants may have made some.key defensive acquisitions sneakily... if eli plays better they could be competitors for the division. .

Ill take the win, with RG3 playing an error free game. But if we win and the special teams has 2 kick returns for td and 3-3 field goals, then im gonna get extremely excited. |
Re: Around the League...Training Camp Style!
We picked RGIII #2 overall in the draft. While he is young and and in a new system right now, he had better become elite sooner or later. You don't want to spend the #2 pick on a non-elite player.
But I agree with those who say what he needs to do more than anything this year is just win.
It was the #2 pick, but there have been enough busts at high qb picks that I am willing to spend the #2 (+the rest) to have stability and good to great play at the qb and go forward building a team around that. Other than G1 no one thinks Eli is elite, but he has two SB rings because he played good to great at the right time. I think Griffin is and will always be, better than Eli, so now it's a matter of: a) consistency b) learning he doesn't have to expose his body for extra yards (probably the hardest thing) c) building the rest of the team. All of that is doable, and (a) is definitely coachable. My biggest worry with Griffin will be his instinct to get that last yard, even when that last yard might cost him his body. |

Definitely. I think both the Giants and Eagles will be better this year, while the Cowboys fall back to around 3-6 wins. JPP healthy will help the Giants a lot, as will a better run game and a more passer-friendly scheme. The Eagles will regress a little on offense, but I think their defense will be better. NFC East predictions as of now? Eagles, Giants/Redskins, then Cowboys. We could easily take the division if RG plays well and a few other things happen. |
Wow! Rich guys like to party and enjoy strippers. Other then Jerry's wife who cares.
I have gone to strip clubs as a married man and my wife knows. Honestly the best place for a married man to go and not get laid is most likely a strip club. They want your $ not your cock.
Going to a strip club in and of itself is no big deal. Going to one near LA (paparazzi heaven) in a tour bus with a giant Cowboys logo on the side while your high profile father is dealing with his current situation involving strippers, well a polite way to put it would be an err in judgement. It would be like if one of Jim Irsay's kids a couple of days after his 'DUI arrest' was caught buying drugs off the street while wearing an Andrew Luck jersey. |

As Redskins fans, we've been dealing with sub par quarterback play for the better part of 24 years. If all it takes is one more season for him to become whatever the definition of an elite pocket passer is, I think we'll survive as a fanbase. |

Yup. Jerruh is in a position to chastise players for even the appearance of impropriety yet symbolically he just waves his johnson with impunity all around SoCal. Why should Dez Bryant behave when Jerruh won't? Question: does Stephen Jones have a wife who cares about this? |

I agree some level of patience is needed when talking about a 3rd yr QB learning a new offense. I'd actually say he's in year 2.5 due to the lack of a true offseason for him last year. That said I do expect him to play well this year and at a level high enough where he can be a difference maker. |

the report is that his ex-girlfriend put some molly in his drink. molly is the powder form of extacy but it is subject to be cut with a filler each time it passes from a big drug dealer to a littler one. just like coke, the user is at the whim of whatever the drug dealer feels like cutting it with - exlax, ibuprofren etc. his agent makes a good point but i dont understand one thing about it. I believe the penalty for a 1st time substance abuse offender is eval/treatment as well as add'l testing but no suspension. He says if HGH testing was in place, his client would be subject to the substance abuse program and not the PED discipline which requires a 4 game suspension. two things: 1 - why would HGH testing cover and/or alter the discipline for molly? 2 - why isnt molly finding covered under the substance abuse? im guessing he tested positive for a banned PED substance but he is trying to say it must have been something thrown into the molly? not buying it from what little i know. shouldnt he also be subject to the substance abuse program as well? im guessing he is as well but that is non-discliosure |
