Those wide open Receivers looked pretty sharp. If RG3 was playing at even a basic level of competency, the team and coaching staff would probably be willing to stick it out with him. But, he's "not even close" as Gruden himself said.
Defense might even look better if the offense can stay on the field for more than a farts length. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We are gonna see.

Re: McCoy to Start Against Indy
Some of the things Gruden has been saying has been brutal. I am all for honesty, but maybe this is too much honesty. Also all the media stories make it out to be like RG3 has been kicked out of the NFL or he died.

As my Dad likes to say, 'no good can come of this.' I just don't know what to say. I don't think I have felt this low about the future of the team since 2009.

DJax had that perfect toss from RG bounce off his hands on Sunday. RG is the only QB on the roster who can make that throw. I don't want to give Snyder too much credit, but letting McCoy start probably tells us whether Gruden should keep his job after the season. If McCoy disappoints, Gruden will have burned through every QB on the roster in a single season. After Colt there's nobody else to focus on but Jay. Next 5 weeks will be interesting. |
Re: McCoy to Start Against Indy
what sucks is now we have no trade value for Kirk or RG3 now.

or Colt Gruden is bluffing, I am closing my eyes tight. This is gonna hurt. This decision will define him. He blaming it all on RG3, Colts have no defense so we should be able t shoot it out with them. |

Nice that Griffin can make the pass no one else can, but can't make the passes everyone can else can. Grasping. |

Re: McCoy to Start Against Indy
There are a lot of good posts on the last few pages of this thread.
I seriously doubt that the Skins will attempt to trade Kirk. He is a fit for this offense and a number of quality NFL QB's threw a lot of int's early in their careers. He can be developed. I think the Skins may find that the return on a trade of RGIII for draft picks will be shockingly low. I'd like to be wrong on this point. I think Colt's play will be satisfactory. The Skins will probably re-sign him. I feel that Colt is a better player than he was in Cleveland. I don't think that Jay Gruden is playing mind games with higher management over RGIII. He has tried to make it work with RGIII but now he needs to gain the trust of his other players by trying to win some games with Colt. His players need to enjoy some success and hear a lot less public criticism. |

I get some of what you're saying (really want the investment to pay off, rare talent, etc.), but seriously, do you feel lower heading into this weekend than you did just after the Tampa game? It doesn't get much lower for me than that game. |

Ron Jaworski was right too. He's the first one I remember criticizing RG3's mechanics. It's just sad that production never improved. Well, time to move on. Not much more to say. |
McCoy to Start Against Indy
Im over the feeling sad thing that the RG-3 trade looks like it might have backfired. Dude did give us a division crown and atleast when people talk shit about us I can point to that.
More importantly though, I maintain the belief that with a serviceable QB (whether it be someone on the roster rite now or not), coupled with solid cap money and a full compliment of draft picks that based on what I have seen (texans, birds, vikings, niners - all winnable games), that this team will compete in a big way going forward.
