AS well as he should have ,the NFL had to and they did do the right thing but again the refs aren't getting enough of the blame and nether is Norman for the knee to ODB head .Really the black baseball bat is a punk move and I'll bet some good beer it won't be done this week.
No doubt. Refs are 100% to blame for not stopping it earlier. But we already know they are a freaking joke on a weekly basis.
Thanks to Richard Sherman we have diva CB to match up with diva WR. Odb and Norman need to grow up a little bit...no problem with a chippy competition, best against the best, but they took it too far. Poor fucking example to the young fans, but I really don't expect much these days.
THIS in a nutshell!

Thank you , your own video's proved my point. If you can't grasp the ignorance of the baseball bat thing and some one else said other teams do it ...........is BS.The man was protecting himself when the refs wouldn't that I don't blame him for but to me there are other ways to do it.Trash talk is done by all team and especially DB's and receivers that's shit he must get use to but your own video's prove Norman was out to hurt Beckham and both should have gone.

In game both should have been ejected more than once. After the game the head to head spearing deseved its own suspension. Since the NFL powers at large can't go back in time the right thing is to suspend Beckham for the spear and fine Norman for the fights. In my opinion they got the after game sanctions correct.
Maybe Giantone can answer this: if the Giants lose to the Vikings (seems more likely now with ODB out), are they out of contention for the playoffs? In other words, does it come down to the winner of Saturday's game? I think that's right.

If true, and if we lose Saturday and the Giants beat the Eagles the following week after losing a close one to the Vikings, ODB's antics could have cost a playoff spot.
OHHHHHHHHHH HELL NO!!!!!!!!!The Giants have blown what 5 games in the last 75 seconds of all those game.Eli blew the Dallas game opener so NO ODB did not coast the Giants jack crap! He doesn't play defense and all the Giants needed was a stop on that last drive and they win, same against New England and Dallas and the Falcons. You cut 75 seconds from those four game we win the east.Thing is we didn't and I blame our GM , NO LBers ,no TE no pass rush of any kind.I think Coughlin has done one of his better jobs with nothing.

I mean if he didn't resort to those tactics, then a trash talking CB would have . . .?

Did they target his head or knees?

I didn't watch the game but until ODB started throwing right hooks and spearing the dude in the ear hole it looked like typical WR/CB crap from the highlights. Jersey grabbing, pushing and throwing to the ground. Happens in every game.

What did he need protecting from besides dropping a wide open ball?

What is "Star Wars"?

I think it was a war declared on Hollywood in the time between Desert Shield and Desert Storm wherein the US troops were led by Harrison Ford........ __________________

So much back and forth happened that it's hard to keep up with, but I don't remember that, though it very well may have happened. Do you know when it happened? I definitely saw the play where Norman dropped/pushed OBJ to the ground and I thought he should get a flag for that, but I don't remember the knee.

As for the refs, They warned both coaches. I liked that they were trying to avoid throwing flags early on and I love a 'let 'em play' approach by the refs. As it progressed, though, I agree that it got out of hand and OBJ should have been ejected, but just for the one hit. I think everything else was childish (on both players' parts) and flag-worthy but not ejection-worthy.

I don't know, but I assume the refs didn't see that hit. If they had, I think they'd have known right away that ignoring it would mean discipline for them. So, I think it was a big miss by them, but that's all it was.

Sorry, but the bat thing is stupid. At best it's like a rapist saying "The way she was dressed, she was just asking to be raped."

Mostly though I'm just PO'd at the media. This started out a boring game but turned into one of the best games of the year, with all kinds of playoff implications and great plays, yet the ONLY focus is on this story and figuring blame and conspiracy stories to keep it going as long as possible.

As a Panther fan, sure, I could whine about OBJ. G1 could cry about bats. I think both of us would agree that there are a heckuva lot of other things we'd prefer to spend our time seeing every time we turn on ESPN.
