As for not diving on the fumble, Cam says he would've had to contort his his leg in a certain angle to do so. ...thereby risking injury

This is a HUGE problem for Cam. I can't believe this idiot actually told people this. No way in fuck would I ever want this clown on my team. He's no leader. You have a guy out there playing with a broke arm, and another with a broke foot and this pussy won't dive on a ball for fear of being injured? In the god damn Super Bowl at that.
You're complaining about a guy that pretty much plays as his team's second running back and takes a TON of hits, in a league that protects QBs? Just let it go man.

Well, for one thing, there's more than just guys born in the 1940's watching pro football. There's children of all ages, young people of all ages, and the celebrating is as much a part of the game as the field goals in their eyes. I personally think people should lighten up and not get so butt hurt over Cam Netwon (not referring to you Calia, just a general statement to the masses.) He dabs. He does his Superman thing. Who cares? Ickey Woods did his Ickey shuffle. The Fun Bunch did their group high five in the end zone. Some of the older Cowgirl receivers used to do their silly little six-shooter celebration in the endzone. Dez does his X-factor thing. You have some players who are low-key, others want to be seen. Such as in life. And of the most part, ol' Fig Newton has backed it up with a solid year. He's a good player.

I mean, maybe the fans should just do golf claps when their team scores instead of yelling and screaming and doing chest bumps? Sounds silly, right? Why not let the guys have fun? And come on, I'd be pretty bummed too if I just lost the Super Bowl. Unless your name is Tom Brady, who's to say your next chance to get back into the big show is within another year or so?
I don't disagree with this post. I just thought the sulking was pretty pathetic, and coming off a season of showboating, it was inevitable that it would irk folks (admittedly, myself included).

I also don't disagree that Cam was lights out this year (and I will bet he continues to play well for years to come -- he's an uncommon talent). And I do think there's a difference between some of the endzone celebrations (e.g., the Fun Bunch which was a group celebration or Alfo Mo swinging for the fences as a nod to the little league team that supported him during his first training camp v. Cam's stuff). But no need to debate the relative merits of different celebrations, I think. I'll just say I would have been a lot more impressed with him had he angrily said during the post-game conference, "We got beat, but we're better than what we showed today. And I'm pissed. And I am going to use this as motivation to have an even better season in 2016" before storming out. But the monosyllabic and monotone responses were just lame.

Do you really care?

My life is no different.

I'd be curious to see how many people were passionately upset when Peyton walked off the field after he lost to the Saints in 2010's Super Bowl.

I'm not condoning what Cam did, it was very disappointing to see what he did. Hopefully he'll learn from this. But people are acting like he literally told everyone to f*ck off in the presser.

I don't care about the dancing or the celebrating with Cam...that's who he is. No problem what so ever.

Did you watch the presser? "fuck off" was clearly the message. He wasn't responsible for a thing in his eyes. He had a chance to compose himself and act like a professional...clearly he isn't.

He has a chance to be face of the NFL....clearly failed in his first attempt with 1) his play...god awful, bottom 10 performances by a QB in a SB and 2) Handling the spotlight after the game.

Manning is a good example, but Belicheat & Brady leaving early after 2008 SB is my favorite "NO CLASS" moment

Well like the article says he was doing simple math. 1+1=2 SB wins for Peyton

Hey, he said it. Not me. This isn't something I conjured up. He could have dove on the ball and potentially kept his team in the game but didn't due to fear of injury? What kind of pussy says that? No way in fuck would I want a QB on my team that would puss out in the biggest game of the year. How can he look Jared Allen or Thomas in the face after those two played with broken bones?

...are you shitting me? If Kirk Cousins (or RG3) had did some shit like that, DC would be going apeshit. (including you)

Just a few years ago the newest hot young QB to challenge the old QB guard was in the Super Bowl and lost and he wasn't happy but this shit didn't happen with him,now he wants to play for the Jets.

I would agree here. The media is just taking this and pounding it into the ground.

I'll say this: he wants that big, shiny camera on him for EVERY shtick he has (towel around head, Superman pose, dabbing, giving the ball to the kids). If he wants that camera, he's going to get it in good times and bad.

Lol I think you're overreacting. Cam takes as many hits as any qb in the game today, he's clearly not a pussy. Maybe he had a brain fart? If he did, would you still be reacting like this? Would you go apeshit if Kirk Cousins had a brain fart in a critical moment like that? Just to refresh your memory, Kirk Cousins did have a brain fart at a critical moment in a critical game during our season, but since we won all was forgiven.

The Panthers lost because they were dominated on offense from start to finish. Maybe they recover the fumble, and go on to continue to lose, again because they were literally being dominated from start to finish. Or what if he dives on the ball and breaks his leg, and they still lose? One play rarely makes or breaks a game (exceptions being the Packers hail mary game, etc.) This one was not going to be the exception to the rule.

In the end, that was a terrible Super Bowl. If I didn't 20 prop bets I might have fallen asleep.

Me overreacting? I can't believe any of you guys are saying this....lol Apparently you don't know how Panther fans are taking this (not good) because they know that Thomas played with a broken arm and Allen with a broken foot. They were down 6 points with 4 minutes. Recovering that ball could have made a huge difference in the game.

This wasn't a brain fart or I would understand that. Him saying he didn't want to get hurt (even though he runs all the time) diving for a ball in the biggest game of the year (probably his life) is something entirely different.

Don't compare what Kirk did to what Cam did. They aren't remotely the same. If Kirk had downed the ball in the Super Bowl because he didn't want to get hurt, you god damn right I'd be furious.

I want a player who's going to leave it all out on the field come the big game. This is regular season. I'm absolutely in shock this dude said this.

Yes, because I am a Redskins fan. You're going apeshit, like you own Panthers season tickets.

Personally, I think it is a stupid answer, because EVERYONE knows Cam always takes a ton of hits, so it doesn't make any sense. I don't know how you can call him a pussy, when he has taken more hits than any QB on the league.

Once again, not saying what he did is justifiable or right; but you're acting like Cam committed a crime or something. I just don't get the outrage.
