Re: Redskins Free Agents List
Then what could the Skins possibly mean when they say Nsekhe would have an increased role next season? You can only start or be a reserve and he's no interior lineman. Would he replace Moses?
I wouldn't necessarily move Trent but I'm wondering what the Skins might do to improve their overall OL play. Trent would go from being the best LT in the game to being the best LG in the game. Once we get Mangold, draft Leonard Fournette, and move Trent next to Mangold, we'll have a beastly running game.
They may add a package or two that has him and Trent together. Would be a heck of a short yardage and redzone line. Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk |

Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
I could imagine that. I'd love to have FA RB LaGarrett Blount to run the ball in short yardage but you'd probably need a stick of dynamite to blast him out of NE. |

Bad news for DJax and PG. Good for us. |

Marshall is now the best WR on the market followed by Jeffery. Now PG and DJax will have to settle for less than they want IMO. Plus deep WR class |

Absolutely! There are choices for receiver. I think the 'skins still have a good shot at keeping at least one of those receivers. I think PG can still be a deep threat, as he proved this past year, he still had the ability to get past the defender deep. |

Im less confident that there is a huge market for PG and Djax than I was round the season ended. marshall, Jeffery clearly the class...Kenny Britt is a PG-type and will get a lot of run on the Free Agent market. Kenny Stills is a DJax "type" too. Much Younger, big play-fast, avg like 17 yards per catch. Also Brandin Cooks trade talk is legit. Cooks another DJax type...big play receiver. Our 2 guys 30+...we have a lot of leverage. But, Cousins status depends a lot on what these guys do. |

Re: Redskins Free Agents List
Here's a list of FA's I covet (using a modicum of fiscal restraint):
NT One of: Brandon Williams, Bennie Logan, or Johnathan Hankins. Williams may be too expensive at $12-13M per year. 3-4 DE One of: Calais Campbell or Chris Baker. If Chris is going to cost $7M+ per year, why not go for Calais at $8M+ per year? Both? Nah. We can draft another DE. ILB One of: Donte Hightower or Zack Brown. Hightower might be a pipe dream at $10M+ per year. Brown might cost $4-5M per year. Is he a one year wonder? I'd be willing to find out at that price. WR Pierre Garcon. Just give me Pierre at $8-9M per year. TE Both Vernon Davis and Anthony Fasano on one year deals. Fasano is a strong blocker. Safety One of: Tony Jefferson or Barry Church. OG Ron Leary (LG). Leary might be too expensive at @ $9M per year. RB LaGarrett Blount. Blount would be great in Goal Line and short yardage situations. |

And I think you are underestimating how much FAs will get. There are 32 teams, it just takes 2 or 3 teams to drive up the price of a contract . And one more WR will not drive down the contract for PG or DJ. |

Even so, I know you're right about the likelihood that some of these contract amounts will be driven up. Even without that, I wouldn't expect that the Skins would sign so many FA's. These are just players who I think might fill some of our needs. |
Re: Redskins Free Agents List
And if the Eagles trade for Cooks, that kills off one team that desperately needs a WR.

Re: Redskins Free Agents List
Personally I'd rather the Eagles end up with one of our 30+ guys versus getting someone in their prime that matches perfectly with what Wentz does best.

Re: Redskins Free Agents List
Another Garcon-type of receiver could be let go:
ESPN's Rich Cimini reports the Jets "aren't done cutting players" and could move on from Eric Decker this offseason. The Jets have gone scorched earth this offseason, pulling the plug on Ryan Clady, Breno Giacomini, Erin Henderson, Nick Folk, Nick Mangold, Brandon Marshall and Darrelle Revis. The purge may not be over as Decker, Marcus Gilchrist, Calvin Pryor, Sheldon Richardson and Buster Skrine are all in danger of losing their roster spots. Cimini considers David Harris "safe" but that could change if the Jets sign an inside linebacker in free agency. After going 5-11 this past season, the Jets are gearing up for a full rebuild. I could see him being released and is another borderline type tier type WR |

I'd rather them use their 1st rounder to get Cooks than have them buy one of our 30+ guys on the market + use their 1st rounder on a decent player. I don't need the Eagles getting better too quickly. |
