Re: Redskins fire GM Scot McCloughan

Help me out here... I'm reading articles and aside from the obvious lack of details being a problem, I'm reading that the overall consensus is that Scot had a drinking problem and sources are saying that he repeatedly went to work drunk. The same stories that are taking the as fact are saying that the Redskins treated him poorly by not coming to his defense publicly and not commenting on the dismissal. Am I missing something there? Is an employer obligated to hide the grounds for the grievance/dismissal?

If they tell the world that it was alcohol related that would be looked upon as classless. Of course, leaking it to the media looks even worse.

I just kind of stopped social networking for a while. I was spending too much time looking at screens.

I don't believe one word.
Cooley later defends DS and BA by saying the drinking leak wasn't from the team but a rogue employee.
What kind of petulant punk goes on the air and swears on his kids? Like that means anything. He can't stand the bad feedback he is getting. Cooley and the leaks are cowardly.

Did you listen to both segments? The one on Feb 14th and yesterdays?

I sure hope Gruden has enough leadership ability to rise above all this bullshit and put a winning team on the field. At this point he seems the most stable out of everyone at Redskins Park.
This guy is terrible. He is a "hot take" shit journalist who takes everything he's heard and then writes a new take where he makes a lot of assumptions based on taking facts out of context. This is a major issue these days, context. Yeah u get it becuase timing is everything with the story. But this allows him to make these assumptions.

It's fake news, he should work for CNN becuase they use the same formula in their own system of "journalism"
sounds like you are describing your posting

If it wasn't for him I'd be off the rails.

I got a chance to listen meet Scott Campbell and Moracco Brown talk and take questions at some function Sports Talk 980 put on at Ruth Chris in Arlington a few years ago. Both seemed like sharp guys who knew the business well. Without saying it I got the feeling that their opinions were not always listened to. Campbell is still there and is definitely a level headed, stable guy. Didn't know this but his dad was the old Falcons coach Marion Campbell.

was saying Jason cole is a self promoting dickhead who doesn't really report facts and takes a lotta liberty with the truth. He's doing this to get on the talk shows this coming week. His work in this instance really isn't about the redskins, it's about Jason cole.

Disagreeing is ok with any of my opinions...it's cool.
