Your ignorance pops up again chico. Witness's are saying that the prop master gave the gun to Baldwin and he was told it was "safe and good to go" . |

LOL. You ever been on a movie set before? Their time with the camera rolling is highly regulated due to how expensive it is and to minimize wasted film. They literally pay people to be prop masters and weapon masters (if a film has enough weapons in it) to make sure all intended props are prepared properly and ready to go for filming. On a cheap movie producers will absolutely try to save money by cheaping out on a qualified prop master. Sadly - her death is not the first time this has happened and it probably won't be the last. Anybody who reads your post is gonna know immediately you're talking out of your ass out of an irrational hate for Baldwin. Which I get - because he is an asshole. But this isn't on him. Edit: Assistant director handed Baldwin the gun and told him it was safe according to court documents. |
Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Just scapegoating the low man on the totem pole as the problem isn’t right. Rumors also say people walked off because of security issues and multiple issue with the prop gun. It will be the producers who should be held accountable..,as they should be.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
My question is, why was the gun pointed at her? She isn't an actress in the film, so how did she end up getting shot along with the director?
What a freak way to die. Very shitty. |

That totally makes sense. I figured there was a valid reason I didn't think of. Man, life is messed up sometimes. |

Really good (probably the best I've read yet) breakdown here on what went wrong and whose negligence caused the accident.
I don't mind admitting when I'm wrong as new information comes to light - such as that post I linked. If Baldwin was part of the decision-making census that decided to forge ahead without properly trained crew he bears some of the responsibility for this. |

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread
Spy Hard came out in 1996, I was 13. I love this movie. Watching it right now. Probably haven't seen it in at least 10 years. It's such stupid humor, I can't recommend it to others, but I'm dying laughing. Sometimes dumb humor is just what the doctor ordered.

I went in with high expectations and left slightly underwhelmed. Didnt realize it was a remake of Kurosawa's Rashomon until half way through. Which was cool. Nice surprise. I enjoyed it, like any Ridley Scott movie the costume, set, lighting cinematography were next level artistic but when I saw Matt Damons character I saw Matt Damon, when I saw Adam Drivers character I saw Adam Driver, when I saw Ben Affleck I saw Ben Affleck. ---------- Ridley Scott - im confused a bit by this huge surge in work hes putting in the past 5 years or so ... dudes an old man and seems like hes made more the past 5 years vs his entire career. I find most of his movies to droll on a bit but visually hes the man, and he can tell a good story. |
