If he's cleared medically, a lot of teams are going to be interested. Still a big if.
I saw a report within the last couple of days that indicated the problem is that the doctors can not, and will not, reach a consensus. The risk tolerance is the issue and some evidently think the risk is minimal, while others think it is way to high for him to risk playing. Personally, I think the Redskins would be silly to make a huge investment in a guy in that kind of circumstance! |

All of this talk about offense... wonder who we have our eyes on for defense... not that the needs are AS pressing from the outside looking in

Hopefully, they are thinking about what in the world they are going to do with the Safety position. |

Definitely.. and nickel corner at minimum for cb's.. hopefully we can keep Carriker or find an adequate raeplacement. If we do trade Orakpo we've gotta address that too. Mario Williams is an FA but will likely be picked up or resigned before any Orakpo trade.. he's coming off injury and I'm sure he'd like to stay with a top defense. |

I'm sure that if Mario Williams walks, he'd go to a 4-3 team. If Carriker walks, I would make Soliai our big FA acquisition on defense and put him at NT, then slide Cofield to DE along with Jenkins and Bowen. |
Re: 2012 Free Agency Wish List
Question, with the success of teams like the Giants with a strong FAST d line why trade Orakpo ,I think you need to go back to a four man front,I think it suits your personel.

Because teams like the Steelers and Packers have had similar success while running a 3-4. |

There is no chance of returning to a 4-3 because the name of our coach is Shanahan. |

I think eventually we will draft a DL, LB, and OL every year once we fix the gaps we already have. |

I think we are to far invested in the 3-4 and once we get the DB's fixed we will be OK. |

I'm really interested to see what Jenkins ends up bringing to the table. If we can get a serious push in the middle, Orakpo and Kerrigan could put up seriousl all-pro numbers. Add some secondary help and I agree, we could make another step forward on defense. |

Sad thing is, we've been doing the same thing for 20 years now... I can't wait until it's our turn again. |
