Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
How about we give KC a few more games before we call him our savior? But he made some throws yesterday that RG3 simply doesn't make. However, he's going to throw some INT's simply because it's the nature of how he plays. Hopefully he can make more positive plays over negative ones.
It's more difficult to prep for a running QB because of the off script plays. And coverages tend to break down as the play extends leading to big plays. At least with a pocket guy you know where he's going to be all the time. A guy that can run and throw just adds a different dynamic. With Cousins in there you can bet the Jags weren't worried about him taking off.
I agree that Cousins is not a running QB, but he is mobile. When the streach runs are working and he can bootleg, and he usually does pretty well with those. He didn't have Deshawn Jackson at all and he still played well and Garcon caught maybe one pass. If they can get him more in tune with those guys who are legit playmakers, he could be even better. I mean really you had Niles Paul and A. Roberts making all the plays. just imagine if Garcon and DJax were there as well. |

Several players |

Wise is spinning information to create a story that's not there |
Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
How about more positives?? Two rookies that are going to be here a long time...Breeland and Grant. We all loved getting DJax but Grant is going to have to be on the field it seems. He should've had a TD on the corner post but Cousins threw it too early. All that kid does is get open.

Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Grant just gets open. Great pick.
You guys want to use 3 1/2 quarters against Jacksonville to anoint Cousins a play maker as a QB - go right ahead :)
Meanwhile you try to put the dreaded "game manager" label on him based on absolutely nothing. |

Yes sir. Some folks are forgetting that when Good Kirk appears, Bad Kirk gets jealous and soon takes over. |

Well in Kirks defense the guy has never really taken snaps with the first team on a consistent basis except for last year when the season was already over. Lets see how he does when not only he is named the starter, but the shit still means something, and the players around you, (and coaching staff), havent thrown in the towel. |

shocker. Im in with the praise of treeland and Grant. Both are contributing...but Amerson is looking like a boss, big time. Big big test for the defense next weekend against ego kelly and egoles. The way you beat a soft team is hit them in the mouth and we got the Defense to do it. |
Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
No instead they had to worry about a QB that could read the field, not take off at the first sense of pressure, and could get rid of the ball before being hit. Just saying, there is something to be said for game prep for their different styles.
If your defense or offense can not adapt on the fly you should not be in the NFL. This is football not brain surgery. |

Nice to just be excited about a game. If we play well and lose in a good game i will still be happy about the season. Looking at the schedule I have us losing to the birds twice and still finishing 10-6. So a win in Philly would be huge. |
Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Philly isn't all that especially on D.

Well it seemed as though they just werent ready in week one for the first half. Tonite should tell us more about their D. |
Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Through the first two games, Dallas has had the best statistical defense in the division.
To me that means this division is wide open and if Cousins can get hot... |
