A proven D coordnator like Fangio or Phillips doesn't want to coach for an organization with currently no vision, work with Jay Gruden who's way in over his head and will most likely get canned next season, take over a defense with no play makers except Kerrigan, aging injury prone vets (Hall, Orakpo, Cofield, Hatcher, Clark, Porter), and has one of the worst secondaries in the league talent wise. I'm giving Joe Berry a chance because he had no talent to work with in Detroit Matt Millen gave him nothing to work with, even Buddy Ryan and Richie Petitbone 2 of the best DCs ever would have failed with that defense. Joe Berry now has Scot McCloughan picking the players for him that's a big difference.

Uh, Im not the one dropping f bombs....and yes...he has coached as a defensive coordinator for 2 years and sucked badly....those are the facts.
I am unhappy BECAUSE of his track record...not because he doesn't have one.
If I did...I would call myself an idiot.
So, let's agree to disagree....I say this hire sucks...I give it an F.
It looks like maybe you may give it a B?

LOL.

I'm not blindly optimistic, but I'm not also blindly pessimistic. Each candidate had their pros/cons; and no one (even Fangio) was a sure thing. I've gone through enough years to know that not one single offseason acquisition is going to solve everything.
