Re: D.J. Swearinger released
Too early to tell on Apke.
Seems that fans never learn when it comes to judging players in their rookie years.
Fair, but at this point in his career, he isn't going to have much of an opportunity to develop football instincts. Training camp and pre-season are going to be his chances to develop, not show what he has. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/player-blurb-troy-apke-ss-penn-state/amp/ His scouting report is what he has shown in the NFL so far. Not saying it's impossible, but drastic improvement is definitely an uphill struggle. I think only playing safety 1 year in college really hurts him. He doesn't have that repetition and muscle memory. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Earl Thomas, Landon Collins, LaMarcus Joyner, Tyrann Mathieu. I think they’ll look there to address it, and maybe give HHCD a full offseason to work in the defense before giving up on him. Re: D.J. Swearinger released
Problem with HHCD is he's a free agent, so you can't just give him another test run.

If the Skins gave up a pick to get him, I’d think they’re interested in keeping him longer than a half season rental. You think that he’ll still command top dollar considering Green Bay just dumped him, and he’s played so poorly in Washington? I’m hoping they can sign him to a reasonable deal considering all of that, and with the Bama connection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If they see HaHa workin within their scheme, I wouldn't be opposed. sidenote...if there was every a time to go base 4-3, its now. Our personnel lines up nice |

I’d guess they’ll let him test the market and go from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: D.J. Swearinger released
Well, they’ll be looking for a corner too, because you can bet Norman will be gone as well.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think the first thing we need to do is approach Josh about the contract and finding a way to reduce his cap impact. He's not in a good position to get a large contract on the open market, I think there is a decent change to get something done. Josh wasn't terrible, but his play doesn't warrant that cap number. Id like to see him back at a reduced number, which I think is possible. |
Re: D.J. Swearinger released
Norman’s cap number is actually less in 2019 than it was this year

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
true, but no way we had leverage with the dead money hit this year to renegotiate . Post June 1 cut is like 3 million...I believe. That's some relief. Id like to see if we could get something done...Josh doesn't miss time and play is solid. With Dunbar kinda question...Fabien having a bad year...Id like to see Norman in Skins uni next year. |
