Matty suggested Washington FC like a million years ago. Still a personal favorite, and yes, I do think the new ownership should revisit the name.

I don't like soccer at all (unless it's the World Cup), but I like original names. I could get down with Washington FC. I even liked Washington Football Team (definitely better than Commanders).

I don't know about "can't see" the name staying, rebranding a multi billions $ company isn't something you decide lightly, but I'd say the new owner wanting to be the cool new guy in town, wanting to please the fanbase, and not wanting to keep a name obviously picked by Snyder and that nobody has really had the time to get any sort of attachment to, isn't unlikely at all!

I prefer the WFC. I liked how it was plain and you see many soccer teams doing it so why not.

I'd rather have Washington FC than Commanders. At least WFC would be original. It also has an old school feel that I think would reflect well on a team that's been around since the 30's.

While I still don't see a problem with Redskins I do think the Washington FC was a good alternative. Keep the same uni's. I did like the yellow helmet in the old days .
