With each win the name BS continues to fade. People are buying the merch and filling the stands. Winning cures all. Very very doubtful the name is changed again.

Changing the name is a waste of time unless there is a consensus on one that would satisfy the vast majority. In this day and age good luck. I think they'll tweak the uniforms to more closely resemble the old ones, and that's it. The opening of a new stadium is still years away, with each year that passes a change makes less and less sense.

Personally I think once the season is over, the name issue will come up again with the local media...if only by Kevin Sheehan haha...but nothing will change until the new stadium deal is in place, and then it's possible...I HOPE.

yeah . . . this . . . not sure what happened as earlier in the season he seemed to be hitting the holes regularly . . . lately he is cutting the wrong way 95% of the time. obvious holes are being missed!

I think that if they win the Superbowl before the stadium they may keep the name, but there is a huge fan base that wants the name changed, and I think Harris and the ownership group know that. They said early on that there is a lot to fix before the name issue was a primary issue. This year showed that a lot of the fixes are in place. Look at it this way, the stadium lease is up in 2027, per league rules the name can't be changed until 2027, and a new stadium will be announced around 2027. So for me, until 2027 and a new stadium comes around, I will hold out hope that the ownership will respect the majority of fans wish to get rid of the name Commanders. If we enter the new stadium with the moniker than I will believe it isn't changing.

The vibe I get from Harris and co along with some inside info is they know it's an issue, but they would like to keep pushing it off and hope that winning and the passage of time makes it fade into the background. Changing the name is a giant pain in the ass, and the NFL isn't thrilled about a team changing their name 3 times in a short time span either.

That would be something.....but what I would love to see at this point is for them to have every past Redskins uniform as a throwback.

that said fans will continue to sing hail to the redskins, I have heard more announcers using redskins past tense without guilt attached, and I think we are moving into the next phase, where Redskins can be honored on air and in remembrance and the new name is accepted as fact.

(I won't accept it as 100% final until the new stadium is built/named)
