Re: Redskins 2018 Off Season Re/Signings
I like that the Skins have enough cap space to bid for a guy if they really want him, but not SO much cap space that they can just go free wheeling through FA.
I think our FO team should get a LOT more credit for the work they have done in using our cap since we came off that lame mara penalty.
Here here. I know all, or most, of the complaints about Bruce and the FO valid, and there's been some really doosies of mistakes, but by and large there roster management has been significantly more rational and consistent since Bruce replaced Vinny. I'm not saying it's been great, but I really think things are going in a more positive direction than 10 years ago. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk |

But fans were against hiring Fassel and fans want Shanahan. In 2012 Shanahan was singing a different tune about RG3. Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |

Niles Paul
I think this team has beem pretty loyal to him as well. He's had a longer than average career here. |
Link? Shanahan knew what he had in Cousins if(when) RGIII falls he will look like a smart coach.
Cousins was on a DC area radio station recently, and he talked about the*first conversation he had with Kyle Shanahan*after the 2012 NFL Draft.
“He was just introducing himself,” Cousins recalled. “I remember the first thing he said was, ‘My goal is to develop you and help you play well enough that someday we can trade you.'” “And that was kind of the vision all along,” he said. “We didn’t draft you to not help the team or to sit on the bench, but at the same time, we don’t really want you to play. We want you to sit on the bench and hopefully play well enough in the preseason to get an opportunity.” https://www.ninersnation.com/2017/10/10/16454692/kyle-shanahans-goal-was-to-develop-kirk-cousins-to-the-point-where-washington-could-trade-him You would think Cousins defenders would know this. Looks like the NFL may start the MLB approach with O/S deals

You would figure cousin haters would know this by now. |
