I hope you are right, but i have a bad feeling that any response that involves military or anything, many people would try and pass laws or circumvent it so that no action can be taken. I have a pit in my stomach that this is what Democrats want - to do nothing. I have identified as Democrat for a long time, but now i am questioning if that is really what i am with everything i am seeing. I know I am not republican, maybe i am independent, i dunno.

No Democrats don't want that ,it's total BS to think they do .It's like saying the Whole republican party wants what the Tea party wants......nothing but BS,it's just not true.
The bad thing is, there's nothing that can be done about the violence inside CHOP. Police can't go in because they are over-whelmed / over-ran by an armed mob.

The state governor will not use the national guard, and they say that the President can't even do anything about it. Probably really soon Seattle might look a lot more like "Escape from New York", and there's nothing that can be done about it.
I would suggest you have the mayor or some local council members they like to go in and tell them they have to leave in 24 hours. Let them know they accomplished what they wanted but they now have to dissolve.

In 24 hours have those council people and local community leaders walk in front of the police and clear people out who didn’t leave.

This should have been squashed days ago. This is ridiculous. Give them a heads up with people they trust and then clear the area.

I'm excited about Ron Rivera as our HC!!!

Don't agree with kneeling during the national anthem.

I can't emphasize this enough tho, not agreeing with it does not mean anyone that does, has nothing less than a 100% right to do so. Anyone that wants to kneel should do so.

As this is a political thread, I do not support at all a 1 year prison sentence for burning our flag, if the flag was obtained legally.

I didn't realize how much I needed Jon Stewart in my life until I read this interview the NYT just put out. My god, this interview gets me off in a way that porn can't. His eloquence in turning complex narratives into ELI5 discussions is unparalleled.
He did become president. Right. He’s a man who has suffered no consequences. His is a recklessness born of experience. He’s like a malevolent Mr. Magoo. He always knows the I-beam is going to swing down and the building is going to collapse — but who cares, because he’ll walk out unscathed. That’s what he has learned.

How much might his administration’s response to Covid-19 hurt him in November? That’s the question the media asks. What they should be focused on is, here’s what happens when you hollow out the pandemic-response team. You have to go after the case of competence and anticorruption. The media wants to prosecute the case of offensiveness. That doesn’t matter. But there were decisions about P.P.E. and the states that were made without any federal response, and that does matter. It’s really about, what is government? Are we the Articles of Confederation? Are we the Constitution? Are we the United States? What are we? If we’re just 50 states, and if New York can push Delaware out of the way and get masks, and now Delaware has got to pay 10 times what it was going to pay — are we being led or not? It’s the wildest thing. I’ve never seen anybody who can say in the same breath, as the president does, ‘‘I am in charge, only I can fix this, and I take no responsibility.’’ You cannot process that. So what you have to process is the actual process: How do masks help? Do they help? You have to really explain it to people, but we allow the mask-wearing to be reduced to its symbolic meaning. Things like masks can’t just become another avatar of political representation. That’s where we go wrong.

Nailed it.

Lol...these are the stories I enjoy..I’ve seen a couple.

Well I’m sure it will be framed as a peaceful assault.

Look at these 2 buffoons, Andrea Mitchell and DC delegate Norton:

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/watch-nbcs-andrea-mitchell-and-dc-delegate-accosted-on-the-street

Norton sums it up perfectly with her quote:

After the demonstrator was whisked away, Norton could be heard asking: "Where are the police when you need them?"

She is so incompetent, she ask where the police are at an anti police protest which turns violent. She is retard of the highest level as she is proposing to remove Lincoln emancipation monument where Frederick Douglas was at the dedication...this is the Democratic leadership in the city and they wonder why they shoot each other in the streets and school systems are shitholes for the last 40 years. Embarrassing

Last night Gen McMaster's said it never happen, now this AM it did but it wasn't important intel and Trump can release it if he wants becuase he is the President. He threw the General under the bus, clearly.Enough is enough!
You're talking about ignorance, yet you're totally ignorant. Trump is the chief of the executive branch, he doesn't need any permission to share intel with anyone. He doesn't work for the intelligence community, they work for him.
As early voting states began heading to the polls in 2016 to choose who would be the Republican Party’s presidential nominee, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham made the rounds on TV news shows, criticizing then-Republican front-runner Donald Trump for his unconventional ideas and controversial language.

“I think he’s a kook. I think he’s crazy,” the Palmetto State Republican said in February 2016, after having ended his own run for president in December. “I think he’s unfit for office.”
Who cares what a RINO like Lindsey Graham has to say about the greatest president ever! Trump has done more good for this country than any president before him. If only he had a normal congress.

Seattle officials announced on Monday that they would begin to dismantle the six blocks of occupied streets known as the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or “Chaz”, following two shootings at the site in 48 hours.

Related: Seattle's activist-occupied zone is just the latest in a long history of movements and protests

“It’s time for people to go home. It is time for us to restore Cal Anderson and Capitol Hill so it can be a vibrant part of the community,” said the Seattle mayor, Jenny Durkan, during a press conference. “We can still accommodate people who want to protest peacefully, come there and gather. But the impacts on the businesses and residents and community are now too much.”

Durkan said Seattle police would be returning to the east precinct, the site they abandoned after a series of dangerous clashes between protesters and law enforcement.

She said they’ll do so “peacefully” and “in the near future” but did not offer an exact timeline.

So the mayor talks out of both sides of her mouth, not surprised, that is what you have to do politically-wise, both Republican and Democrat.

It is a surprising reversal when she said only a week ago that they were going to have the Summer of Love. Hard to have the summer of love when CHOP / CHAZ / Whatever was having sexual assaults, shootings, arson, etc.. So much for being peaceful. Guess Raz Simone is going to have to find another job to go back to, unless he takes his dog and pony show on the road and sets up another CHOP somewhere else. Washington maybe?

Time to get mom and daddy to come pick you up, anarchist camp time is over.

Completely laughable embarrassment for Seattle
