I know right. After 9 years of protecting the rights that I was not privy to myself, I will be damned if I am going to be trapped in a job that I dont like. |

I hear ya man...I know I am going to get a lot of lip for this, but I quit my job today. It's really a long story, but I am seeing a lawyer tomorrow about my boss creating a hostile working environment, and also sexually harrassing me. Also, bait and switch. She told me I'd get benefits after 30 days, and it would be medical dental and vision...well I get benefits after 90 days, and it's only medical. She said that I would get commission starting right away...I won't get it til after 120 days. I was told my working hours would be from 7:30am-4:30pm, then she changed them the day after I accepted my salary to 7:30am-5:30pm. Doesn't sound like much, but that's 5 hours a week more for the same 40 hour salary. That's just the start of the issues...I could go on for days...I seriously had over 25 separate issues with her. |

Care to explain why I shouldn't think you'll quit here?" What would you say? |

My wife got the same sort of bait and switch when she took the job she is at right now. We decided to stick it out until after the baby was born. She is still employed with him, but on maternity leave right now. But she is looking for a new job. You have to do what is best for you. |

What would you say?
See angry...this is what I was talking about. But to play along, you wouldn't know about the two jobs I have had in 2 months. I'd just tell you I took time off for me or something. Then my other history is more telling of who I am since (not counting the last two jobs) I have had 3 in almost 10 years. |

Thanks man...that's what we thought. It was really causing a lot of stress, and my health issues I had at Chili's were coming back again. Not worth it. Instead of getting antsy, I'm going to be more selective this time. |

As long as you can afford to do it, then do it. I have been contemplating resigning from here and moving to southern Maryland and finding a house and employment there. We still have not made up our minds yet though. I do know however that money is not what is holding us back. |

Absolutely...but like I said...they will never know. I am also actively seeking to sue someone for the first time in my LIFE, and they will have no clue about that either. The reason why I didn't want to say anything is cause I realize how it looks. There just is not much I can do about it but move on and learn from it. Hopefully God will help me find where I need to be. |

I always purposely scrimp and scrape when I first start a job so that if something happens, I have at least 1 full month of a backup plan...I had enough forethought to have 2 months right now. I have a couple pans in the fire, and I am actively pursueing employment in Denver and Huntsville, so I am pretty sure something will come around. |

I might be able to help. My brother in Law is not the only connection that I have out there. My wife has other family members that live there as well. |

Well, I am wanting to use my Master's degree in finance. So banking, finance etc is where I would like to see myself head down. I have A LOT of managerial experience, including in a retail and restaurant setting, but like I said, I'd prefer to use the degree unless of course something that sounds completely cool or fun pops up like being able to work on the space shuttle, or for a sports team or something like that. I appreciate your willingness to help. |
