Re: 2009 Free Agents
Patriots, Cowboys, Packers, Falcons (I think). Though I've heard the Texans might be on the list as well.
I would guess he would like to be part of that Pittsburgh D. Id hate to see him wearing a Star
I'd hate to see him in Dallas as well. Do you think he and Gurode would be roommates at training camp? |

Are you confusing Peppers with Haynesworth? |
Re: 2009 Free Agents
What a horrible year for free agency. All of the guys I wanted to see in a Washington uniform are not coming. If we do anything it should be to re-sign the DTs we still have. Oh well.

I thought 44ever was referring to Haynesworth. In which case, I was talking about Haynesworth stomping on Gurodes face during their game a couple of years back. My bad if he was talking about Peppers there. |

I was talking about Peppers. No worries bro. |
Re: 2009 Free Agents
49ers too I think
Actually you're right, and I'm wrong. Aside from the Cowboys, I don't think any team other than the 49ers ran a 3-4 in the NFC. Meanwhile in the AFC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, NYJ, Denver (starting in '09), Miami, San Diego, and New England run the 3-4. I wonder why it's so much more prevalent in the AFC? |

Re: 2009 Free Agents
After looking at GTripp's FA spreadsheets, I didn't realize that Darren McFadden is free agent right now.. I think, if we happen to trade away Rogers (Redskins better not tho, but) then we should go for McFadden? He is a physical CB.. Something that I love to see in our defense..

Yeah the FA market for corner actually looks deeper than any other position. Maybe this is what the FO has in mind wrt Los... trade him for a draft pick and then grab a young talented guy in FA for less money. Problem is we're unlikely to get better than a 3rd round pick for him and we used a 1st round pick originally... bad value. |
Re: 2009 Free Agents
Wow the Duece McCalister thread got closed fast. lol. Someone said something about a poll and I was racing to the bottom to ask if ladies came with it but found it closed. lol.
Also, I found it supprising that the Eagles fan popped out of no where. I know we get other teams fans but it's even funnier when you don't see any other fans for a while then out of the blue one shows up for one topic. lol. or better yet for a day then gone. lol. |

If im not mistaken, the cards base defense is a 4-3, although they do alot more 3-4 too. they brought in alot of versitile players the past year to be flexible. |

Okay, so there are 3 teams in the NFC that run a 3-4, as opposed to 9 in the AFC. Any insight into why it's 3x more popular in the other conference? That whole "it's a copycat league" thing? |
