Not very good IMO. Gaines Adams turned out to be pure bust as did Michael Clayton. Williams is a stud but he just can't stay healthy. Josh Johnson is simply awful. Talib has serious character issues.
I think alot has to do with the scouting involved. I don't know how the TB organization was set up, but I have always thought our scouts were top notch.

Time will tell.

Here we go. So let's parse through every single player drafted under Allen and come to conclusions about his qualifications.

Is this the same Talib that picked off Jason Campbell 3 times?

I don't expect everyone to agree with Allen's hiring. But come on, Vinny was terrible in certain aspects and Allen has had success as a general manager. At least let the guy come in and start working before you start pissing all over him.

I'm not pissing on him. I think Snyder did the right thing and this is a good move. But I'm just going to take a wait and see attitude.

I don't think anyone is saying championship, but things have got to be better.

Yeah, let us go ahead and give this guy a chance and not assume draft fail right off the bat. As long as he can Danny Boy from playing fantasy football we should be good. I actually expect with this hiring that the head coach will have more to do with guys we bring in. Lets give him a chance.

The new head coach will have his say in personnel as well, so Allen is just one piece of the puzzle. (I stole that from SS, I think)

At least now we might be able to get back to the tracks (since we have been so far off of it for a long time). Great move skins! On board 110%!

Dan Patrick said that the Rooney Rule applies to front office/executive positions just as it does to head coaching positions.

Any truth to this? Were there any other interviews that have been made known?

Offensive linemen in every draft. I'll take it.

Also, take note HOW MANY picks they had. Completely opposite as our usual 5 total picks with Vinny.

Is that the racial rule?

Next thing you know, we'll be flagged for not interviewing a black, Native American or Hispanic candidate and accused of tampering again.

Good point. SS said he was more involved with the business end. Maybe he listens to the scouting department and coaches come draft time.

Interesting article, and probably one of the first by SJ that I didn't have issues with:

Snyder reportedly interviewed two minority candidates for the position.
