Re: Kudos to RG III
Whoever decided to let RGIII play just one week after a concussion should be fired. Sure, independant doctors cleared him to play, but he shouldnt have played. He had a concussion, and letting him play was reckless and irresponsible. They should have let him sit for an undisclosed number of weeks, just to be sure he's ok. I'm not claiming to be an expert, but its just common sense.
LOL! sarcasm at it's finest! I'll have another glass kind sir! |
Re: Kudos to RG III
RGIII seems to me such a clear choice for MVP at this point (realizing that there's a lot of the season left and anything can happen). Matt Ryan is having a great season, to be sure, but that team has a number of weapons (two great receivers, a very good running back), whereas RGIII is really single-handedly keeping us in games (and winning them). I don't see how there can be a credible case for anyone else -- at least, at this point in the season.
If RG3 wins the NFL MVP award as a rookie, that would be so excellent! But there's still 10 games left to go. Matt Ryan is having a great year too. But those people who vote on these things at season's end always look at other factors like team win/loss record and so forth. But RG3 should be considered for MVP if he keeps playing at the level that he's playing at. |

Has a rookie qb ever won league mvp before? Rg3 is without a doubt league MVP right now. We'd be 0-6 without him. We were in all 5 games where he played the whole game solely because of him. No player is more valuable to his team right now than rg3 is to the skins. |
Re: Kudos to RG III
One week ago we're headed for another doomed season and our foolish coaching staff is ruining RG3 by playing him against the Vikings...and now he's the MVP!...Awesome
One thing I've noticed with RG3 that I'm sure may come across the wrong way is that he's missing on so many opportunities. And that's a good thing. Because I'm sure he'll capitalize on them soon enough. What I mean is, part of is designed plays and part of is he's simply not seeing some open receivers. I know that the Shanahans are trying to ease him into the NFL to an extent. But when you look at the opportunities he's leaving on the field...his numbers could be even more staggering |

I was having a conversation with a friend of mine about RG3. We were both gushing about him and I told him that RG3 doesnt even know how to read NFL defenses yet. We both went silent and let that sink in for a minute. He still has a lot of room to improve. Hes already playing great football, and still has plenty to learn. The good thing is he is learning. I dont know if any of you heard Moss talking about him after this game. He made the comment that his 30 yarder was actually his second window, and that RG3 had never made a second window throw to him before. For those that dont know what second window means. It is when a receiver crosses a zone into an open window but doesnt receive the pass. He then continues his route past some defenders and into a second open window. IE.. Using a simple crossing pattern as the route. First window would be between the ROLB and the MLB. First window is when he clears the ROLB but before he gets to the MLB. Second window is when he clears the MLB and the new window (the second window) is between the MLB and the LOLB. |

The simple fact is you can't teach speed, heart, nor rapid fire neuron synaptic transversals. He saw an opening, he took it, he scored. 7 points. A receiver was open, but........he is faster than the receiver, he already has the ball (no pass needed). He escorts the ball across the plane....FOOTBALL in it's purest form.. Nerds figured out how to talk their way on to the football field, wahhh, wahhh. |

Its in English but I still have to ask.... What? |
Re: Kudos to RG III
76 yard TD run by RG3. The longest run since Kordell Stewart ran 80 yards way back when. Rg3 is the truth.

Re: Kudos to RG III
I made a bet with a Cowboys fan who had to sit in my living room as I clicked rewind and then play during RG3's 76 yard TD run on my DVR 25 times while I paused the run several times for long-winded narration. My losing option was to go to a bar with a Romo jersey and cheer the Cowboys on when they play the Skins. So glad I won.

No. He's not. Matt Ryan would be a MVP winner right now more than anybody. Also, this is the one thing that bothered me about getting RGIII. Fans will overlook anything and put them on a pedestal. RGIII needs to work on that 3rd down QB rating before he can touch a MVP trophy. He's got a long way to go, but he's done a great job so far. |

lol...i think you let the cowboy fan off kinda easy if you had to go down to a bar with a Romeo jersey on. httr |
Re: Kudos to RG III
I see a lot of room for improvement with RGIII - but that's a scary thing to consider since what I have seen from RGIII, so far, has been nothing short of awesome! Once reading defenses become second nature to Griffin, you're going to see this team scoring at will.

Had I lost the Viking's game bet I planned to solicit suggestions from here. All I could come up with was exposing myself to Ebola. |
