Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0
Whats the effing PR/KR plan? Anybody?

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0
I've got high hopes for the pass rush this year. It could really help mask any secondary issues we may have.

Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0
In the return game, I just want a guy who (1) makes good decisions inside the 10; (2) secures the ball; and (3) runs forward. With our offense, anything we get in the return game is a bonus. On PR's it would be nice to have a threat but 1-3 above more critical to me. KR is pretty much a non-issue given the number of TB's. Again, a threat would be nice but simply not critical.
Secure the ball. Move Foward. RGIII & Co. will take it from there. |

I'd like to see Aldrick Robinson and Niles Paul. One will run by you, the other will run over you. Chris Thompson had a few nice returns in the last game, but I'm not sure we'll carry that many RBs and he won't be contributing any other way. Brandon Banks didn't prove to work well in terms of carrying a dedicated return man who doesn't do anything else. We can keep another player in the secondary if we put Thompson on PS...we'll need it. |

Holy crap...this morning on NFL AM..."Feud in Washington". REALLY? Where?
Enough already, media idiots. This is nauseating. His knee is better so they can't talk about that, so they make up fight between he and Shanahan. Did they miss the message on the $10,000 t-shirt last week? Griff is not misbehaving...he even called an extra press conference to straighten the media out on this after they twisted his words and they still steam forward with the apocalyptic dream they're having about us being torn apart. I can't even tune in for scores without hearing how our coach and QB hate each other. |
Re: Redskins Training Camp Thread 3.0
I think our D will be fine on obvious passing downs b/c of the plethora of pass rushers we can bring. I feel pretty confident that we can really get pressure with just the front four creatively used in those situations -> Rak, Kerrigan, Tapp, Jenkins, Jackson, Bowen and Cofield create a lot of options for rushing the QB while dropping into coverage.
Our base defense, however, may have problems stopping short and intermediate routes. Isolating Fletcher and the CB's in that short flats and middle would be my goal as an O-Coordinator - grab 4-5 yards there on first or second down to keep the 3rd Down package off the field. For teams incapable of staying out of obvious passing downs, we could have a fearsome defense.
Sounds about right, although if Hall has a good season we'll see him jump some of those short routes for picks. And if Amerson progresses I see him making a great cover corner. ...can't wait to see Rambo get his first pick as a pro. Hope it happens in the first couple games. |

When you have the most popular QB on the planet on your team they will make up what ever they can to keep him in the news. As a Redskins fan I just cant wait for week 1 when MS and RG are joking around on the sideline smiling. III is the 1st player they have had in WASH that you actually see MS joking around and smiling with. So yeah they have a BIG HUGE GIGANTIC problem with one another. SMH |

The offense can move the ball. Just keep it secured. Crawford was our PR and helped win the Raven game but if we need a spark, it wouldn't be a difficult to have Moss back there. Thompson should not be back there at all unless we are winning big and give him chances to get some game experience. If Paul really is the 4th TE, then I vote him to be the KR, PR, and punt coverage ace. Hopefully, Dawson is on PS for next year Return competition. |

Andrew Luck is phenominal IMO. Head over heels better then Russel or Kaep. I think him and RG are on there way to eliteness, but Andrew Luck sounds like Andre the Giant and really doesnt have a personality. I love RG3's willingness to speak his mind and put on a show for the fans. |
