I don't blame Gruden with this. This has the stink of Mr. Tampa, Bruce Allen, all over it. I am well aware of the "let Jay choose the coach" rhetoric, but SnyderAllen are well-practiced at interfering without trying to appear interfering, so the rhetoric might just be bogus.

Pretty much what I'm thinking. He hasn't exactly had quality talent to work with back there. And shouldn't he get some credit when it comes to Breeland?

Ian Rapoport said there wasn't going to be any more interviews he only said there were no more scheduled they could schedule more interviews later today or tomorrow.

It could very well be Gruden making the call. Let's not forget Gruden was very loyal to Haslett and would probably have kept him around.

At the end of the day, nothing is going to matter on the defensive side of the ball, if Jay Gruden doesn't get that offense to be somewhat decent.

It has been said on the Warpath that Gruden actually wanted a different DC but had Haslett foisted on himself.

Raheem should definitely get credit for Breeland.

But we have struggled on defense for years. It's time for new blood on the defensive coaching side, not another episode of "Danny, Bruce, and Their Cronies."

C'mon, Ruhskins, you know very well that that is what Gruden would say if Haslett had been forced on him. What else would he say?

I am not the insider with the information that Gruden did not want Haslett, so I cannot offer evidence for my point. But I am 100% sure that you can search the Warpath and find the reputable claim of which I speak.

We've also struggled offensively for years too (except for 2012). And bringing new blood for the sake of new blood doesn't work.

I mean, weren't these the same people b*tching about Wade Phillips getting hired? I swear, people need to stop b*tching at everything.
