Initially it was a shoulder injury then all of a sudden a concussion pops up in the picture. After watching the replay, the Lions' linebacker barely grazed Griff's helmet. Something's got to give. Remember, Kirk is the one Scot M. came close to drafting before selecting Russell Wilson. This tells us he did his extensive scouting (which he's greatly known for) and believes in the talent Kirk Cousins has. ...and we're all believers in Scot M. right.......?
Given how many hits he had taken before, it wouldn't surprised me if he got concussed before that final takedown.

I noticed that he seemed to be shaking off the cobwebs after the first big hit.

RG3 looked very discombobulated in that last play. I feel like he was already concussed or something.
I trust Scott.
Sure the line had it's faults but all the sacks/ knockdowns were RG3's fault.
He's slow, unsure and can't run the offense like a pro QB. I love the guy. Bought his jersey. Wanna believe. But facts are Colt and Cuz run this offense better than RG3. These are facts.
RGIII no longer seems to move well in confined spaces, and has the pocket awareness of someone who just downed a fifth of Jack Daniels. It seems that Peyton Manning and Tom Brady avoid the rush better. Sorry but he looks helpless out there at the moment.

Agreed. It most certainly happened before that play and likely contributed to his fumbling the ball in the first place.

RGIII thinks "standing in the pocket" means literally "standing still in the pocket".
RGIII thinks "not relying on your athleticism" means literally "standing still in the pocket"

I can't help thinking that when RGIII is out on the field he's purposely giving a big FU to Gruden for not letting him play the way he wants. Kind of like. See what happens when I play your way. I'd be the greatest QB in football if I could just play the way I want to.

Even his comments in training camp like "I'm playing the way they want me to". just sounds like something a team guy would never say. Just seems like he has a lot of backhanded veiled subtle comments, that ultimately say, "Everyone is against me, it's me against the world"

I don't know how anyone on the team could hear the comment "I'm the best QB on the team", and not think this guy is just a total douche.

why not start Cousins against the first string ravens and see how HE does against the starters…bring RGlll in later and see how he does against the backups..what do we have to lose?? does anybody think that if RGlll had been playing the backups all pre season he would have done better than Cousins or McCoy..My bet was he would still not look good..so how in the world if RGlll stinks it up at Ravens can Gruden start him against Miami..this does not make sense at all. I realize Robert had pressure in his face but geez he looked lost ..and why on earth did they not help out smith with extra blockers..its almost like the Coaching staff wants this to play out like it is and force a change at Qb from the top (Snyder)…This maybe the last chance for Robert ..if he looks bad against the Ravens what do you guys think will happen?

Sorry to be blunt...but No Matter What Happens...RG3 will be the starter for the regular season against the Dolphins, because Dan Synder has already decreed it.

Even if RG3 sux next week and the final week of the preseason, and KG and Colt look great, RG3 will be the starter against the Dolphins...the only hope is that if RG3 sux against the Dolphins, hopefully Jay Gruden will be allowed to pull RG3 in favor of KG or Colt.

Listened to ESPN 980 all day today, something Ive never done in the past,I wanted to hear what local radio had to say about VY2 since I never get to hear it.Not a single on air talent thought Griff should be the starter, doesnt look any better than last yr,etc etc.
Cooley did his film breakdown,he tried to be as diplomatic as possible but it was not good for Griff.Cooley didnt want to name the qb but you knew who he was talking about when asked about what our record will be this yr.Maximum 5 games with VY2 or 9 to 10 games with the other qb's on the roster.

Snyder can decree it all he wants, but a season ending injury is looking like a forgone conclusion. Other QBs get tackled. RG3 gets blown the f@ck up. No one in the history of tackle football has taken worse hits on a consistent basis. The man is incapable of being taken to the ground in a normal fashion.
For real, people seem to forget Kirk falling apart last year.

I think the plan should be to keep Kirk until he falls apart and let McCoy finish the season.
Nobody forgets. They're just smart enough to know that most QBs, even the best ones, struggle in their first 20 or so starts and Cousins has only started 9 games. And falling apart to the tune of 10TDs and 9INTs isn't exactly abnormal. RG3 with 30 plus starts under his belt only had 16TDs and 12INTs when he wasn't too busy breaking his own ankle. Hardly night and day. If KC solves the interception problem, like many young QBs do, the rest of his stats put him among the league leaders. He was on pace for over 4000 yards and 32 TDs and his play enabled the Wide Receivers to participate in games.

Conspiracy theories abound. Members of the local media are speculating the concussion reports were to keep RG3 away from the media post game.

Explains why Joe reported that he was cleared of a concussion mid-game. Tandler says other members of the media that he trusts reported the same thing.
