He definitely is, but would cost significantly more, wouldn't he?

I think Flowers wants too much money.

It’s concerning our Free Agent Guard Turner hasn’t played yet..but they haven’t put him on PUP yet

Yeah I saw that too, I assume he is just a camp body for last preseason game so they don't need to risk our guards getting injured. Assume he will come in after Paul, Montiero and Charles at the back end of the game.

I thought it was interesting that they started Montiero last week ahead of Paul when they needed to protect Wentz.

Good point about the money part, I didn't even think of that when I saw the news.. We don't know how much Flowers is asking but I don't believe he is asking for a lot and I wouldn't mind giving him a few extra millions, just to have a better player in the guard position.

That's not a crazy thought at all. I was in favor of keeping him in the first place. But the decision too not give him those extra millions was made back when they signed Andrew Norwell. He's sidelined right now but it doesn't seem to be anything too serious, so I don't see why they would change their minds now.

EDIT: apparently both Norwell, and Schweitzer are back at practice. And Turner is working through his quad injury.

I haven't heard anything alarming about the O-line injuries. They seem minor, and there are still a couple weeks before game 1 for those guys to get healthy.

The Jags are still unsettled at LG (although they do have a great RG) so it's not necessarily a good thing that they picked up Wes Martin. I'd love to see Martin play the way I thought he could when we drafted him.

It's hard to see Wes making the final 53. He's probably just here to get them through the preseason since he knows the system.

We dont have any studs on our O line but we got a lot of starter capable guys.

Leno - Lucas - Charles
Norwell - Schweitzer - Charles
Roullier - Larsen - Schweitzer
Turner - Schweitzer - Charles
Cosmi - Lucas - Charles

Thats 8 right there to start season, 9 once Larsen comes off PUP. Love Lucas and Schweitzers swing abilities. Such good low key signings.

To say that Charles is starter capable is a stretch. Unlike Schweitzer and Lucas he has not been available when needed so he remains unproven.

Charles is NOT a capable starter. id put him as 3rd on any depth chart. Spot duty on the inside, okay. Everyone else is capable. None are top tier or pro bowlers. Lots of capable depth.

Leno and Cosmi worry me on pass pro long developing plays though, which we should see a lot more of. Last year, easy to look good in pass pro at tackle with the ball coming out in 2 seconds.

RB1 typically isn’t your main kick returner.

It’s clear they are carving out a different role for him.

I wonder how he feels about it -- i.e., whether he views it as a demotion. Playing time is earned, and he has to understand that the team needs to make use of him in ways that is less likely to lead to fumbles (getting him the ball in space and away from D-linemen who are the ones forcing fumbles). I just hope he has a good attitude about all this and wants to focus on whatever he can do to help the team. Based on what I have read about him, that's what I'd expect.
