Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
I like Cyprien starting for us anyway. Hell maybe we can draft the defensive ROY! More playing time rookies get the better they are.

Were are apparently still pursuing Talib

The Wallace contract makes Garçon's look pretty good.

Yeah, no kidding. Wallace's deal is off the hook. Stephen Ross more and more reminds me of a young Dan Snyder. |

Injury history gotta scare us and many, which is probably the right move. But I hope like hell we dont overpay Talib, that would be the bigger risk imo. |

we could push guarenteed money to different years, which could be worse. |

Doesn't appear Bruce and Mike want to go down that road. If they haven't done it by this point, I doubt they will. Which I don't blame them, its the smartest move you can make for the future, even if it does hamstring us a bit this year. |

Just because you have Cap space you should not use it all. Football is such a true team sport. Because player A works in system A doesn't mean Player A will work in system B. Just like the draft not necessarily the best players are in round one. Look at the Bella of the ball FA from a few years back he is out of a job; Nnamdi Asomugha. |
Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
If we had Seattle or San Frans roster, I'd be all for it. We need a lot more then 1 or 2 pieces though.

Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
I think we can count the Skins out as FA players this year. (not a bad thing) Not enough room to do anything, but I feel we'll most likely go for some bargain basement guys to fill in until we can replace them.

Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
Flacco's fault?
Baltimore has cut/traded/can't afford: Boldin Kruger Pollard Ellerbe Reed Lewis*retired* They signed Canty from the Giants...I approve of that move for obvious reasons. I say we go after Pollard, he's only 28 and not too pricey. Chris Houston signed now...another CB off the list. AJ Smith is probably to thank...we're talking to Cason for the second time according to: Antoine Cason - San Diego Chargers - 2013 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com https://twitter.com/john_keim/statuses/311835420394672128 |
Re: Around the NFL Free Agency Thread 2013
don't see it being Flacco's fault, his cap hit is around 7M this year. I think they weren't happy with the defense, and see this as a chance to clean house, and not pay huge payouts to avg guys. (Boldin I don't get though)

This isn't Flacco's fault. They were in cap trouble before Flacco, and they wouldn't have been able to sign many of those guys even if they didn't sign Flacco. Years of paying big money to defensive stars has caught up to them. At some point, you have to pay the piper. I expect the Ravens to take a huge nose dive. |
