I've had the (dis)pleasure of watching all these fine specimens play QB for the Washington Redskins. There is only one elite QB on this entire list... and his name is RG3. And it's not even close.

Is RG a sure thing? Of course not. But how 'bout we give the kid some time to heal and learn? He's 23 years old for christ sake.

I haven't seen any posts in this thread where people are saying that RG3 can't turn into that guy. We're being asked if we think he is a certain franchise QB. He's not a franchise QB right now, but this thread seems to lean towards people thinking he can get there. That's showing patience, in my opinion. He has a lot to prove, but he also has years to prove it.

Since the smoke is beginning to clear in RG3 media mutilation, I declare that ultimately RG3 has won this battle.

I believe RG3 is definitely the franchise QB going forward, but it's way, way too early to declare him elite, especially after this shitshow of a season.

By year 4, there should be a clearer picture as to whether or not the he has future HOF potential.

Yes that is fair. I should have phrased it differently - "elite potential". Obviously he has not yet reached elite status on the field.

Great point.

If we hadn't have made the trade right now we'd likely be the Cleveland Browns. We would have 3 other players and still likely be looking for our long term solution at QB.

And a good D and a good coach and draft picks. They would beat us if we played em next week. Thats a travesty after what KC and the boys did to them last year. If they played in the nfc east they very well might be going. Hoyer was kicking butt before he went on IR. lol

Agreed. Who can seriously think they can compete without an elite qb in AFDC north or any division for that matter.

Browns r always the browns, I'd.take the skins over them any year every yr

2 Starting Caliber QBs
Starting Caliber RB in Alfred Morris and a good number two in Helu
Starting Caliber WR in Garcon
Starting Caliber TE- Reed
Starting LT

The whole defense and the line needs to be rebuilt. RG3 is not the problem
