Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
Sorry to be blunt...but No Matter What Happens...RG3 will be the starter for the regular season against the Dolphins, because Dan Synder has already decreed it.
Even if RG3 sux next week and the final week of the preseason, and KG and Colt look great, RG3 will be the starter against the Dolphins...the only hope is that if RG3 sux against the Dolphins, hopefully Jay Gruden will be allowed to pull RG3 in favor of KG or Colt.
Really Dan Synder tells them RG3 has to start. Man I can't believe you people believe this. LOL |

Conspiracy theories abound. Members of the local media are speculating the concussion reports were to keep RG3 away from the media post game. Explains why Joe reported that he was cleared of a concussion mid-game. Tandler says other members of the media that he trusts reported the same thing.
The Redskins did not want RG3 to talk to the moran media. They used the concussion as a way to get him off the hook. That was a smart move. RG3 has to learn that the media is not his friend and are only looking to sell stories. |
Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
The media loves this kind of drama. RG3 was playing against the Lions 1st team defense. Trent Williams LT was not playing nor was D-Jax. Moses Sheriff and Willie Smith all looked bad when the Lions had the 1st string defense in the game. RG3 hung in the pocket on some of those hits and when he did Andre Roberts drops a 1st down pass that hit him in the hands. RG3 has to hang on to the ball no matter what happens. Colt and Cousins both have looked good in preseason but this is about RG3. I don’t understand why Jay Gruden did not call bootleg plays for RG3 like he did for Kurt and Colt. Our O-line was getting shoved back into RG3’s lap on several plays. Remember the O-Line is a work in progress on the right side. They are also being evaluated by the coaching staff. The Players on the O-line are not letting RG3 get sacked because they don’t like him that some BS if you even think that. They are pros who are battling for starting spots in the NFL. RG3 needs to take a page out of Marshawn Lynch’s press conference. Give the Media nothing. Lets slow down and see if RG3 can play the 3rd preseason game vs the Ravens. If he can’t then I guess we get to see Kurt or Colt with the one’s. HTTR
Nobody forgets. They're just smart enough to know that most QBs, even the best ones, struggle in their first 20 or so starts and Cousins has only started 9 games. And falling apart to the tune of 10TDs and 9INTs isn't exactly abnormal. RG3 with 30 plus starts under his belt only had 16TDs and 12INTs when he wasn't too busy breaking his own ankle. Hardly night and day. If KC solves the interception problem, like many young QBs do, the rest of his stats put him among the league leaders. He was on pace for over 4000 yards and 32 TDs and his play enabled the Wide Receivers to participate in games.
The problem for KC is he isn't going to be afforded the long rope that Griffin has. Snyder has given that to his BFF. Griffin is a made man. A real NFL franchise would give the coach authority to start which ever qb he wants. |

Stop with the owner is making Jay play RG3. |
Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
The Redskins should try to trade Kurt to the Jets ASAP before it's to late. Maybe we can fleece them for a 3rd round pick.
RGIII thinks "standing in the pocket" means literally "standing still in the pocket".
RGIII thinks "not relying on your athleticism" means literally "standing still in the pocket" I can't help thinking that when RGIII is out on the field he's purposely giving a big FU to Gruden for not letting him play the way he wants. Kind of like. See what happens when I play your way. I'd be the greatest QB in football if I could just play the way I want to. Even his comments in training camp like "I'm playing the way they want me to". just sounds like something a team guy would never say. Just seems like he has a lot of backhanded veiled subtle comments, that ultimately say, "Everyone is against me, it's me against the world" I don't know how anyone on the team could hear the comment "I'm the best QB on the team", and not think this guy is just a total douche.

Agree with 90% of this
Make it 100% for me. |

I believe that Snyder has already told JG that RG3 starts no matter what. Why would the coach risk his job? I don't think it's that far fetched at all to believe that something like this has happened... |
Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
well at least I am not alone on my views ..I said during the game on here the injury looked (faked/staged..etc) to me ..i also do believe that Snyder has way to much to do with this QB situation..although I REALLY hope that is not the case..I would love to see RGlll be the answer BUT I see nothing to indicate he will..the drama continues….

There apparently will.....always be ridiculous "Dan" conspiracy theories. He was the second shooter on the Grassy knoll..... |

Gruden appeared done with RG3 last year the way he was ripping him in the media. I don't think a coach would use that as a motivational tool. Sounded like he would of happily traded Robert for a six pack and a bag of pretzels, then this year he names him the starter before training camp? Either Gruden changed his opinion of Robert 180 degrees or someone changed it for him. |
Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
Think about what you heard SM state to the media before t-camp. Robert has to much raw talent and.........potential (not to mention investment) to kick him to the curb unless they know for sure he cannot get it done.
It is painful to watch, but this is part of the process. He has mostly not looked good but nobody could accurately judge him based on the crappy protection he is getting..... |

He was the second shooter on the Grassy knoll.....
The thing about Dan Snyder is that no matter how ridiculous the conspiracy theories about him are the truth is often even more absurd. After he sued a broke elderly widow who couldn't afford to pay for tickets, sold fans stale peanuts he bought from a bankrupt airline, forced fans to turn their T-shirts inside out or be ejected from the stadium, closed down a church parking lot, and many other ridiculous things, his mandating that RGIII will be the starter is very easy for me to believe. |
Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
Someone is telling Gruden to start Griffin but I don't think it's Snyder.
