He probably torn those ligaments on that fumble snap. I am sure a health player's knee gets f'ed up the way that knee twisted.
Why would he tear ligaments taking a snap?

Yeah I seen it. It buckled because the only support the already torn ligaments had was the brace. Just give it time and all will come out in the media eventually. That knee was tore against the Ravens. I guarantee it!

I'll tell you what, go ahead and twist your knee the same way RG3's knee twisted on that fumbled snap. Tape the whole thing and upload it to YouTube. If your ligaments do not tear, then you are correct.

His knee was still weak from the Ravens game, but the ligaments were not tore as they are now. They already had a MRI prior so I'm not buying the ACL was tore prior.

Thats not the result of a level 1 sprain at week 4 of healing, thats a very loose knee with very limited natural support. Guess all we can do at this point is hope he heals fast.

(Wow, reading this thread has been almost as painful as watching RGIIIs knee. So, when is the amputation?)

Here's a question for ya: why was the field in such god-awful shape? It basically injured their kicker and I'd say it injured RGIII at the end. We've got one of the richest sports franchises in the world and we play on a field that's not even close to the quality of my elementary school playground. WTF???

As for decision making and injuries--it was a mistake, but I get why it happened. Shanny and the team are like the rest of us: we're in awe of the kid. Plus, he beat Philly and Dallas on one leg, so why not? So long as the docs are ok with it (and it's BS to say Andrews didn't see the knee after the first quarter injury--we saw him in the sideline "shed" with RGIII and the trainers. They re-taped the knee.), then it's a matter of how the kid is playing. So, leaving the injury aspect out, it's a very tough call. With the injury risk in, yeah, pull him. But don't forget that Shanny himself played a game with serious internal injuries in college. So he's probably biased towards the "let them play" school. Anyway, it was a mistake. But I get the thinking.

Some of us are waiting for the Bleacher Report to shed some light on that.

It may be 4 weeks after he injured his LCL but He really only had a week and a half to rest it. Since then he has been back running on the same knee before it had a chance to properly heal. Because of the of the nature of a sprain (some tearing of the ligament) it made him more susceptible having his knee give out on him.

My point is waiting a week and a half then playing football on a recovering knee is not equal to 4 weeks of rest.

I don't fear amputation.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic man. Robert Griffin III will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.

Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...

How all of our lives went from riding high to hoping and praying in the blink of an eye. We jumped out 7-0 and looked unstoppable and were driving for more points when Griffin rolled out to his right and re-aggravated his knee. Then when he through the TD anyways to go up 14-0 we all thought wow he's ok, we're kicking ass, we're gonna win, etc. etc. Now its been reduced to half of us freaking out (i'm on this side) and the other half trying to calm us down.

I just hope Dr. Andrews can work his magic and RGIII will take that determination and be back better than ever. I have faith in both of them.

Herm Edwards " RGIII should never run the option again, He's a franchise QB, let him pass "

Can't really argue that point. Time to turn him to a Peyton or Tom Brady
